Great to hear, I also graduated from mech eng 15yrs ago, so welcome to the club. Obtained Masters degree from mech eng 2014, and 2nd MSc degree in marine engr 2015. I use none of them for work as we speak.

Be careful what you venture into for your post-g, don't do it because you studied mech engr, do a course because it is hot cake for jobs and allign your interests and passion to it, that's an expensive trick. The world has changed a lot, hence, engineering graduates are capable of switching to data related programs for their post-g, no cap no, no fear. Your main goal should be: what program do I study that guarantees more job opportunities? Choose those I have listed prior. Don't make a mistake of going for a course because it is engineering and you graduated from engineering.

However, b4 concluding in your heart that you will settle for this, pls justify your actions. Search for jobs in the energy engineering field, and see how many that pop up, and that can convince you furthermore.
