Good day, all.

I have been on this platform since I applied for a Canada visit visa in June 2023 through an agent. I didn't really know much about the whole processing thing, hence why I used an agent at that time. Ever since I followed this platform, I have gained better insight Into the whole process.

My dilemma now is that, will it be possible to run a study application and a visit application concurrently? since I have not heard anything from IRCC since June. The agent I used kept saying my application was "in progress".

Is there also a way I can track my application myself or send a message to IRCC to expedite my application? At this point, I don't even mind whatever the final decision. I just want to hear something.

Thank you in anticipation.

Firstly,Tell the agent to give you the login and password to your account then confirm the application status urself. And you can come back here to ask a question..so many of thoes agent are dishonest sometime a client is already banned due to fake doc and they will hide it .

Thank you for responding. I have asked him to no avail, he thinks I will sabotage his payment or something. He promised to send a screenshot of how the process is going. Still nothing. I feel 8 months is quite a long time.

8months is not a long time. I’m in my 7th month without a ppr response. Mind you I have families in Canada. My mom & elder brother have gone & return. I earn good salary. Sent several mails to them but they keep telling me my application is still in progress. The last response I got from Ircc was that they are prioritizing Express entry & Student visas. That was when I decided I won’t be bothered no more. Ircc just act like the visa is a privilege not a right.

Dear Ajebogirl

I will advice you not apply first, june 2023 is a very long time and i'm convinced the IRCC must have send you your decisions, tell your agent you need to log in to your portal and check by yourself, else if you give information different they might take it as misinterprettation, when you enter your portal you can print your previous form and see what the agent fill in for you

She doesn't have a job that is earning up to 500k. How then will she explain the source of the huge in and out cash flow on her statement of account? They don't just look at cash flow alone. The amount she claims to earn must be consistent with her cash flow and be ready to explain any lump sum acquired that is far above her income.

What do you mean by siblings sponsorship? Is it in terms of visitation? Siblings can invite one another, regardless of their position in the family, as long as the one being invited can prove from the application submitted of SURE RETURN back to Nigeria

If she wants to claim business route, then she should be ready to provide evidences of the existing business.

Above all, her Family, financial and economic ties must be strong, so don't focus on one aspect alone.

A visa is always a privilege, not a right. You may have a visa and still not be allowed into a country at the border. As long as you are not a citizen of that country, a visa just grants you the privilege to enter another country without getting stopped at the border. And in fact, it may be withdrawn at any time, if they like. Read up on it here

Hello house, so i have prepared the letter of invitation/ sponsorship, mentioning that my younger brother is coming over for a family visit, that me my wife and children would be glad to receive him. And am planning to attach some of my personal docs. like bank statement and 1 or 2 joint documents with my spouse.

Here is the question, is there any need for my wife to co-sign the letter if invitation?

Thank you for your responses 🙏
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by slimmsyyetty: 8:28pm On Feb 27
I believe the invitation letter should be signed and dated from the person who is inviting the applicant and if necessary and required by the Canadian Embassy, it should also be notarized. So your wife's signature may not be necessary. Also, the signature of the host should be identical to the authentic signature they use in Canada.

Two important dates for getting a Canada visa will be included/confirmed in the invitation letter. One is the date that assures the visitor’s entry to the country. The other date is the scheduled date on which the visitor plans to exit Canada. The invitation letter must mention the visitor’s ties, too. This implies that as your sibling, you will need to submit the birth certificates of both of you and pictures (if possible as little children to teenagers and not adults alone) as evidences

Shalom

Pictures are surplus to requirement if we are being honest. It’s usually best to keep visa applications simple.
Birth certificates of both siblings suffices as it has the same father & mothers name (except for step siblings), that’s all the visa officer needs. Besides in your PR application few years ago, you listed him as your brother. They will likely visit your previous PR file to confirm name and DoB u inputed.

Remember to add yourself as authorized representative so you can call ircc on his behalf if the processing is taking longer than expected.

More importantly don’t forget to add your proof of status(PR Card/Canadian Passport as applicable). Some add a couple or so recent payslips in addition to bank statements as proof of financial support.

Normally, if you are going on a Canada visit visa with genuine intention of coming back, you either stay with your host or PAY FOR YOUR HOTEL ACCOMMODATION AND FEEDING.

Now how will you japa while staying in the hotel and paying for accommodation and feeding?

This is a dangerous pathway to japa. Please, rethink!!!

I did get a confirmation that it has been added.
slimmsyyetty:
Yes, please. This is just an auto-generated email.

You will later receive an email from IRCC notifying you that the docs you submitted have been attached to your application to be viewed by the VO that would be reviewing your application. This email may come between 24hrs to 2weeks depending on the volume of webform they received.

In my personal opinion, it is important to note that proof of relationship may not be limited to BIRTH/MARRIAGE CERTIFICATES alone. Anything you know that can FURTHER SOLIDIFY your proof of relationship, submit it! You may still show you have a very strong bond with your siblings aside sharing parents through birth certificates. Why do people further include marriage pictures, regardless of the age of the union if they feel or believe marriage certificate is sufficient to show one is legally married because they would like to make the application simple?

Though, I am not against making one's application simple, BUT just making an application simple may not be applicable in all cases. Sometimes in some cases, the more evidences you show, the more you solidify your reasons to be approved.

Thanks and Shalom

If he refused to give you all your details to enable you track your application and still refused to send the screenshot of your application dashboard to prove no decision has been made, I will suggest you meet him in his office UNAWARE and tell him to open your dashboard on his system/phone to see whatever is on his screen.

Tell him you have the right to know what is going on with your application since he refused to release your details or send screenshot proof. If possible, have enough internet connection on your phone to enable you share just in case he might say "No Network" as an excuse

Whilst you made irrefutable points, would an application be rejected because pictures showing two siblings together were not uploaded? NO
Would seeing picture(s) influence a visa application approval, I strongly believe NO, however good it makes the applicant’s claim look. Visa Officers though human are guided by the regulations/requirements of the visa category and not sentiments.
One could add pictures of birthdays from year 1 to year 25 together(sentiment) and still be rejected if the visa officer believes there’s no financial/family reason for the applicant to return to their home country after the visit(visa regulation).

I’m a proponent of submitting documents that makes you feel confident in your visa application, so if pictures will make an applicant less anxious about what-ifs…shoulda…woulda…coulda…please add as many as you deem necessary.
I just dey reason am from another objective angle😁😁

Honestly, the waiting period could be excruciating like maaaad. For some, their PATIENCE might have exceeded the elastic limit and heading to breaking point, but all they need to still do is PATIENTLY WAIT!

Agents would only tell applicants 3 months processing time, latest. This is why many applicants would become worried after staying longer than 3 months because they weren't psychologically prepared for the long waiting period. You might not have imagined to still be waiting for 8 months on the queue, from the day your biometric was done in first week of July

With the way the processing time is getting longer, any expectant ppr should abeg relax and carry on with their life activities as if they never applied, at least to ease the tension, while silently being hopeful.

I wish you success and approval

I get your point but one can never read the mind of the VO reviewing your application. To some VO, the more evidences they see the more you show your solid ground for approval, therefore, never take chances all in the name of wanting to simplify your application.

In as much as VOs are guided by the regulations/requirements of the visa category, they still have the right to deny/approve an application using their psychological discretion, so you might never know the doc submitted that could convince the VO satisfactorily.

Perhaps, if you had noticed in one of my responses to @jeffdaniel you would have realized I already mentioned his brother, as the invitee has a significant role to play in all ties- Family, financial and economic. So please, never think I meant submitting pictures alone is a justification for approval.

Shalom!!!
