don't try to rewrite history to suit your narrative, the games we played in the first round of AFCON 2013 were boring to the extent we all lost hope before the quarter-final match against CIV reports had it that the NFF had reserved air tickets for the entire team back to Nigeria before the match against CIV, that's how poor we were then.
Keshi won. Once you win in naija, that's all that matters. Effort, learning from experience, opportunity to improve means nothing to them. That's why after every tournament we begin afresh again. You see what Senegal did with Aliu Cisse before he eventually won the Afcon? That can never be naija.

I don’t know why I am not a big fan of that Martinez guy

I prefer his striking partner Thuram. That guy is good and underrated

Thuram is a very very good player, just not clinical enough to lead the line himself. But he links up very well with the rest of the front line.

The bolded is one of the reasons we underperform at AFCON.

If this crop of SE was being managed by say Senegalese FA, we could run the next 3-4 AFCONs. The squad and players are there as evidenced in our last final appearance. The issue is continuity post tournament.

Napoli making me believe super Eagles have serious and crazy Midfield problem.

Running into spaces, one-touch football, passing precision are what our midfielders are lacking.

Wingers do not release the ball quickly enough.

We are magical in our thinking. We always want results without realizing that generally many factors converge to produce results - time, dedication, experience, effort etc.

Many of our commenters here sneer at our getting silver this Afcon because according to them we have gotten silver and even won as champion before.

Haaa, so France will sneer at the valiant effort of the French team after being defeated at the WC because they have won the WC twice before?

Every new generation of a nation's players must hustle their hustle and we cannot deride their good effort by merely brushing it off with the better performance of past generations.

The same French, Spanish and German players who won France 98, SA 2010, Brazil 2014 were kicked out first round in 2002, 2014 and 2018.

Whether we have won as champions before, will never make me look at the effort this team put in with a small eye. That will be rank ungratefulness unworthy of a true fan. I appreciate them and will keep appreciating their valiant efforts.

Meanwhile jpes has learnt something valuable from this Afcon ooo but we will not benefit from it if he goes away. And another coach will come, try his best, lose, get sacked or leaves the job and the circle continues as we continue to look for a Fae who will win at first try

I don't fancy contemporary Nigerian music. Never fancied it from it's infancy with guys like Plantashun boiz, the remedies, African China etc till now that it has matured but I can't deny that our music has become a global brand.

A player like Osimhen that even as an u-17 player Fifa has a dedicated video for him and the guy has grown winning significant laurels since that time, then one bitterleaf man will allow prejudice and emotive bias to blind him from acknowledging the quality Osimhen possesses. It's such a shame

na wetin dey pain me be this, that his tactics will work with a team that has enough ball-playing players that don't lose possession easily in the midfield. No wonder the North Africans went for him cos it suits their kind of playing pattern.

You are so correct. We should be learning from our experience in this last AFCON and build from there. Sometimes you will miss the title the first time but that experience of loss will propel you forward.

This happens many times in life. Bro anybody that has acquired experience in any field of human endeavor will surely acknowledge that truly experience is not just the best teacher, experience is the teacher.

Let me tell you something. That goal Maradona scored against England in Mexico 86. He had done something similar to that before but the keeper saved it at the last minute because he delayed. So against Peter shilton he relied on experience and quickly slotted it in.

I wish you were Igbo bro, I believe you would love cultural and Igbo highlife musics like I do. I don’t listen to Afrobeats.

On my playlist are men like Osadebe, Sir Warrior, Oliver De Coque, Don Sach and his Oriental brothers, Emeka Morocco, Ozoemena Nsugbe, Ayaka, Pericoma, Chief Michael Udegbi, Theresa Onuorah, ndi iyom Nkwerre etc.

Omo I gave one U23 girl a lift one certain time and I was playing my favorite “Alusi Obeledu” by chief Ozoemena Nsugbe and this girl get mind tell me say make I change the music for all these their awantiro na so my face change.
