Primordial type of buses that are not up to 15 in numbers, buses that will soon find thier ways to the various mechanics workshops where they will spend most of their purpose or may be looted by Wike adminstration.

You guys should stop embarrassing yourselves, NLC had nothing to do with this. The buses had been ordered and paid for a long time before the protest. Ordering and delivery of buses cannot happen within two days.
Within 2days?....were you deaf and dumb for the last 5 months when the president claimed they had implemented the CNG buses with it's filling stations?

The FG claimed to have gotten CNG buses since October 2023 and only started displaying over 15 CNG buses after labour had threatened to protest and also go for a strike and you are here pathetically displaying your your own unique ignorance just to prove to WhatsApp admin that you made an ounce of sense in your comments!

Let me try to engage a little of your cerebrum....have the gas filling station been constructed nationwide to cater for the CNG buses they will be dishing out to states?
Or will the buses run on water after their gas has been exhausted?

Sometimes most of you should just stop regurgitating what you consume from your clearly uninformed WhatsApp group and go into real research!
Weren't you given an internet based phone as part of your work kits? Smh

Refurbished El rufai buses. This job was done in eagle square. They are not new but can atlist go a long way. FG has no single gas refill outlet. So that means they will be queuing in nipco with all those buses for CNG gas. Another propaganda to ensure Joe Ajaero and his minions think one of there requirement has been met. APC and evil 5&6. Those buses will not last up to a year on the road. Guarantee. They are all refurbished.

The bus is for citizens and not elites like them at all ..

So why wailing at them again 🤔

If government is not doing well, you complain. When start doing well, you still complain. It's obvious most of your types are obviously daft & to be ignored henceforth. I advise all right thinking people on nairaland to ignore dis kind of pple. They will naturally keep shut if no one answers their stupidity. As for me, I have chosen to just look at them henceforth when they rant. It's very obvious they are below normal IQ level.

Hambivert:
This is a good initiative, no doubt, but the limited number of Compressed Natural Gas stations may limit the effectiveness of this project. Also hands need to be trained in installation, maintenance and repair of CNG vehicles.

In Nigeria, an increase in demand sparogatively equates to an increase in the price of a commodity. That's how it works here. If certain policies are not put in place, cost of living for people who have relied on products of Natural and Petroleum gases may increase.
To solve your problem, you need to be INFORMED. Do you think government will release CNG buses without providing how to fuel it? The CNG stations are only NOT ENOUGH at a commercial level. Government knows that the moment they COMMENCE the CNG transport initiative, gradually AUTO MAKERS will start making CNG vehicles. And with the cost of PETROL, people who want to buy vehicles will start buying CNG vehicles instead of PETROL POWERED vehicles. Dont be surprised if the price of petrol STILL GOES UP, it's to discourage buying petrol powered vehicles.

Action and reaction are equal and opposite. Do this right and the government will wake up.
This government is trying. Try your part by supporting.
Steady power supply in Aba.
CNG busses have come. I believe it will mark the beginning of a new day. A better future.
where is it written in the constitution that the citizens need to do the right thing before government carries out its responsibilities?

why does the government not do the right thing so that the people will wake up?

have you ever heard of social contract?

what exactly is the government "trying"?

which "steady power supply in Aba" are you referring to?

how is CNG buses "the beginning of a new day. A better future"?

where are the gas stations for the CNG buses?

according to you

Calylove:
The launch of CNG-powered buses by the government is a positive step toward sustainable and environmentally friendly public transportation in Nigeria. Here are some actions you can consider to help the government:

Promote Public Awareness:

Spread awareness about the benefits of CNG-powered buses, including reduced air pollution, lower emissions, and cost savings. Utilize social media, community events, and educational campaigns to inform the public.
Encourage Public Adoption:

Advocate for public support and encourage people to use CNG buses. Highlight the advantages, such as lower fuel costs, environmental benefits, and the positive impact on air quality.
Provide Information:

Disseminate information about the locations of CNG fueling stations, bus routes, and schedules. Ensure that the public has access to all the necessary details for a smooth transition.
Feedback Mechanism:

Establish a feedback mechanism for users to share their experiences and suggestions. This can help identify areas for improvement and ensure continuous enhancement of the public transportation system.
Collaborate with Local Businesses:

Engage with local businesses to support and promote the use of CNG buses. This could involve partnerships for advertising, employee transportation, or other initiatives that benefit both the community and businesses.
Support Infrastructure Development:

Advocate for the expansion of CNG fueling infrastructure to accommodate the growing demand. Work with the government and private sector to invest in additional fueling stations.
Green Initiatives:

Promote the overall green and sustainable initiatives of the government. Encourage the use of clean energy not only in public transportation but also in other sectors, such as private vehicles and industries.
Celebrate Milestones:

Celebrate milestones and achievements related to the CNG bus program. This could include commemorating the number of CNG buses in operation, environmental impact assessments, and other positive outcomes.
Engage Local Communities:

Involve local communities in the decision-making process and planning of public transportation. Understand their needs and concerns, and address them to ensure a successful and widely accepted transition.
Advocate for Policy Support:

Support and advocate for policies that promote clean energy and sustainable transportation. Engage with policymakers to ensure a supportive regulatory environment for the expansion of CNG-powered public transport.
Educational Programs:

Implement educational programs in schools and communities to raise awareness about the environmental benefits of CNG and the importance of sustainable transportation.
Monitor Air Quality:

Monitor air quality in the areas where CNG buses operate and communicate improvements to the public. This can help build trust and showcase the positive impact of the new initiative.
By actively participating in and supporting the government's efforts to introduce CNG-powered buses, you contribute to the success of sustainable and eco-friendly public transportation in your community.

You can check my signature on ways to come out of this hardship.
if you can write all these, why cant you tell us all that the government is supposed to do for the citizens of Nigeria?

are politicians voted into power to be helped or to serve the people?

how is government helping the people?

how does Nigerians helping the government benefit Nigerians?

I believe while you doubt.
I trust while you distrust.
Let's have some form of faith in our nation.
Just a little support will do wonders.
Let's see how the problem can be solved instead of being stupidly bitter.
Note that we are in it together.
Don't doubt from the start.
I agree that things are bad but let's allow the government to fix it based on the promises they made.
I hope you get it now sir.
We buy from the same market. I work after work just to feed my family because I cant beg.

But wife and children must eat.
I just believe. Thats all I should do. Abi?
