Thank you angry

Please shut the door, when you leave.
Highly rated but I couldn't dig it even as I forced myself. Show bored the hell out of me.

Chernobyl is a bit slow but it's good and only one season.

Starting to? cheesy

I did not watch the last 2 seasons. How many scenarios with different Blacklisters dey wan use? Then they twisted the Russian origin story back and forth until it became more intricate than the Gordian knot.

I skipped some seasons

Only to check and see that Dembe is now a FBI agent and someone's daughter joined the FBI

I don even forget some of the characters sef. But someone's daughter probably one of the special squad joined the team

After Kean died I think they should have stopped it, even dragging it for Kean to die was an overdo

Nowadays I even struggle to remember the past story line. One old woman going by a man's name that wanted to kill reddington, then Russian mother of Liz, one accountant

It's all a blur

Breaking Bad is a goat show. It even made me watch the spinoff Better call Saul

Breaking Bad and GOT are mine

I didn't feel The wire though
As in, am still shock. Show way Dem act decade ago, till today it's still the benchmark to compare to other Drug and Crime Series like Power, Snowfall, Top Boy, Black Mafia Family and Peaky blinders.

BCS was also goated. Showed us how the cartel function and more focus on Saul, Mike, And Salamanca family.

The Wire was good sha. What about Snowfall?

Izzou the wire is also boring and tiring . Na pager drug dealers dey take message inside the Wire . grin

The wire is another overhyped show . They made Omar little larger than life in the series and it's annoying . Somebody that a new kid on the block high on meth could've killed to gain street cred .

The wire will bore u out .

I've tried to watch Sopranos for like 4yrs now but everytime I pick it I end up dropping it

I started Suits but after 2nd season it started getting repetitive similar story line and honestly not enough drama and violence to keep me engaged

After Avon died the whole thing became a drag. Well I liked Avon. Hothead drug dealer.

Omar moving solo and hurting top dogs was stretching imagination to far. Especially not in world wey juju dey

If to say na Naija movie, they go need to spice Omar character with jazz to make it believable

I didn’t even know that Keane died. E be like I stopped more than 2 seasons ago. I stopped around the time they were using animated characters during COVID lockdown.

Once a series passes season 4 or 5 it starts entering dicey waters, no matter how good it is

Blacklist was very bad, no even pass season 1 sef, Omar Little wasn't larger than life na, person wey Dem shoot, e skip town sef cause fear catch am and dey beg make Dem rescue am from prison cause of fear. The Wire is more or less a documentary, arguably the greatest documentary on inner-city crime....and it's a great show to boot grin

I no dey quick abandon series cos of Sunk cost fallacy. I don't want to waste time spent on the show, so I just struggle through

Nowadays I prefer limited Series which will be short so max I am wasting time on 6 episodes

Like Griselda that I watched recently. Not too long so I can endure the mediocre acting

I actually liked the idea of Blacklist. Every episode is a different story so you can pickup everytime and understand they chase a bad guy and kill it. but when the backstory now starts make you questioning sanity

Maybe I'll just go back to watching 24 or those prison break sef

Nah Suits to me was never boring and the drama was always top notch, ruthlessness also the same. An all time fave although I stopped at season 5.

Even without Juju dem go knack that Omar for real life . How can he be going about robbing drug dealers from way back in the days ? How?

Like he's robbing drug dealers who are killers and not law abiding citizens o. Haba ! How much dem dey sell machine gun again ? I go just buy as many machine guns as possible for youngings in the game and give them mandate to kill Omar and get a promotion in the cartel. Omar would've long bitten the dust

What happened in the wire particularly concerning Omar little was unreal in the real world . U just need a kid who want u take care of his family in his absence and Omar would be killed dead !

He go come carry double barrel gun sling across his shoulder and everybody will be running to his while he's coming in the hood.... smh

Omar story is not uncommon. You never sabi some hood legends. No be everybody get mind to shoot at a marksman and a hood legend. We had a nigga like that in Harlesden in London called Captain. He was even of Nigerian descent. He dey rob drug dealers steady and nobody dey try am.

but they did kill omar little - and he ended up being killed by a small kid.

if you watched the wire to the end you would also see that Mike was the new omar, dukie the new bubbles, syndor the new mcnulty - basically telling you the cycle would continue as the root causes have not been and cannot be addressed

Realism

The writers strove to create a realistic vision of an American city based on their own experiences.[40] Simon, originally a reporter for The Baltimore Sun, spent a year researching a Homicide Police Department for his book Homicide: A Year on the Killing Streets, where he met Burns. Burns served in the Baltimore Police Department for 20 years and later became a teacher in an inner-city school. The two of them spent a year researching the drug culture and poverty in Baltimore for their book The Corner: A Year in the Life of an Inner-City Neighborhood. Their combined experiences were used in many storylines of The Wire.

Central to the show's aim for realism was the creation of truthful characters. Simon has stated that most of them are composites of real-life Baltimore figures.[41] For instance, Donnie Andrews served as the main inspiration of Omar Little.[42] Martin O'Malley served as "one of the inspirations" for Tommy Carcetti.[43] The show often cast non-professional actors in minor roles, distinguishing itself from other television series by showing the "faces and voices of the real city" it depicts.[3] The writing also uses contemporary slang to enhance the immersive viewing experience.[3]

In distinguishing the police characters from other television detectives, Simon makes the point that even the best police of The Wire are motivated not by a desire to protect and serve, but by the intellectual vanity of believing they are smarter than the criminals they are chasing. While many of the police do exhibit altruistic qualities, many officers portrayed on the show are incompetent, brutal, self-aggrandizing, or hamstrung by bureaucracy and politics. The criminals are not always motivated by profit or a desire to harm others; many are trapped in their existence and all have human qualities. Even so, The Wire does not minimize or gloss over the horrific effects of their actions.[5]

The show is realistic in depicting the processes of both police work and criminal activity. There have even been reports of real-life criminals watching the show to learn how to counter police investigation techniques.[44][45] The fifth season portrayed a working newsroom at The Baltimore Sun and was described by Brian Lowry of Variety magazine in 2007 as the most realistic portrayal of the media in film and television.[46]

In a December 2006 Washington Post article, local black students said that the show had "hit a nerve" with the black community and that they themselves knew real-life counterparts of many of the characters. The article expressed great sadness at the toll drugs and violence are taking on the black community.[47]

African ancient history is not documented but when you look at similarities in culture and traditions you have your facts. I have just used the Ekpe society as an example.

The Otukpo people in Benue speak Igbo, I understand them. Same as the Kwale people in Delta. You can Google Igbo people in Kogi state.

My point is the term Igbo is very generic and in reality is not limited to the five Eastern states
Otukpo people are idomas by tribe. Anyone you see speaking Igbo there most likely has a family that migrated to that place years ago. Several igbos were born, grew, live and trade there, some even have houses built years ago. Their part of Benue is also closer to Enugu than the more central sides which accommodate the Tiv.

Which foreign investor will see news like this and invest even $0 in Nigeria. Unless him sef na crook

When you combine Agberoism of Tinubunomics and prime NADECO propaganda of Abacha days. You have a deadly concoction
