I've tried to watch Sopranos for like 4yrs now but everytime I pick it I end up dropping it

I started Suits but after 2nd season it started getting repetitive similar story line and honestly not enough drama and violence to keep me engaged
All these series will just bore me to death
I still have them but can't figure out how to watch them
West world, Ozark, the sopranos, sons of anarchy, breaking bad, narcos mexico
That west world confused me I have to watch each episodes twice

This Colour Purple movie done already bore me within 10 mins
Black are too emotional jare they must find way to look for pity and attention
Immediately I saw the story line I knew it wasn't for me

My own is how do you make a trauma musical

Musical is supposed to be happy and trauma is trauma. They don't mix like Ogbono and Ice-cream. Oprah must be smoking Colorado

was les miserables a happy movie?

Black people don't wanna watch trauma shït no more. Movie producers need to catch up

I still like a good slavery movie though because there is hope at the end.

For family movie night tonight, we watched Sound of Music with the kids. I'm busy thinking how nice it would be to visit the Austrian Alps and hills in Sound of Music. From there I go to watch Color Purple after everyone has slept. From dreaming of Austrian Alps to this depressing suffer shït, I've outgrown the demographic abeg and I think most black people have too.

I don't like musical on a normal day sef talkless of miserable ones. I off Les miserables after 10 minutes. No be my time you go waste with 5 minutes song when the message can be passed along in 2 sentences

Meanwhile I was today years old when I found the inspiration behind one of my favourite Canibus lines from 24 years ago came from Sound of Music

I never said that battling me would be impossible/
I just think it's highly mothérfücking improbable/

Portable brought it home

I'm impressed with Portable anytime I hear him so far the Yoruba no too plenty. I will start paying more attention
He just needs to polish the rawness a bit if he really wants to crossover in full. He should learn from Olamide and co. Can't be doing razz pattern forever. There's always time to upgrade and clean yourself up.

Even if you wan do Yoruba flows there's how you package and funkify it. Olamide remains a good reference point

It's better to be razz and authentic than forming with fake accent.

Olamide ain't crossing over to anyone abroad, even when he clean up it still sounds razz. Portable stands a better chance being himself

That demographic love to function on low vibrations. I don't understand the point of that movie or musical in 2024

This is why African Americans and African immigrants don't get along. Imagine inundating me with slavery wey you no experience and expect me to be arsed about it

They're lazy and can task themselves to come up with something relevant today. Hell do a movie on the baby momma epidemic (they won't obviously cos that would mean addressing real issues not just bond over trauma wey you no experience)

but they did kill omar little - and he ended up being killed by a small kid.

if you watched the wire to the end you would also see that Mike was the new omar, dukie the new bubbles, syndor the new mcnulty - basically telling you the cycle would continue as the root causes have not been and cannot be addressed

also this

also

snoop was busted for drugs in real life

To be honest I didn't watch till the end ; it bored me out eventually. I watched till when that boy that looks like Nketiah stepped up and started running the street and Avon was in jail.

I was going to post the song here earlier today; I forgot in the middle of work.

Portable went hard on the song. Going forward he no go allow any Nigerian artiste wey talk anyhow to him rest grin. Anytime he get issue with anybody he go ask them if they have done music with an international artiste.

E come be like say Skepta tapped him in a way and he also gave Skepta a hit in a way

The Ekpe secret society originated from the Efik speaking people but extended to the Igbo people. Ekpe society developed the nisipidi writings. That is why people say it is Igbo. In reality the Efik people are Igbos.
Where did you get this from?

Are u saying their are indigenous Igbo people in Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Benue, Edo and Kogi? Or what exactly are u saying in the bold part of ur statement?
I will not talk about others but there's no truth about it as far as Cross River is concerned.

I thought of a long rebuttal but then I thought what's the point of it when you lack basic understanding of geolocation to know the difference between South East and the South South where Akwa Ibom is located, or you are being mischievous.

You lots just like to force yourself on others even when you have been resoundingly told they have no ties to you. This argument was had just last December on this thread with Okpa and all doubts cleared. When you do this then appropriate other people's cultures.

We aren't interested and have no tribal ties to you. Why can't you get this and be on your way? Why force kinship with those who don't want it?

Remember clearly you started this so when and if it goes south, we know those who would gaslight and play the victim card on this thread.
Thank you bro.

For those who didn't enjoy Ozark, try and watch the second season. It's one of the most interesting shows out there.

Again, just the second season. You can thank me later.

I said our government may impose heavy fines on Binance for what happened,” Onanuga explained. “I never said Binance had been informed about the fines or that it would definitely be $10 billion.”

“I only said the amount may be imposed, which is because nothing has been finalised yet,” Mr Onanuga said, placing repeated emphasis on the uncertainties around the fines.
