nairalanda1:Then address "Inflation Reflective Wage" first. Minimum wage is 30k. You can't leave out economic inequalities in the country and be seeking to protect the business interest of the rich few. You so much believe in these people. You swallow whatever the say without scrutiny. That man is a stakeholder seeking to protect his interest. |

Princewill1:I thought I told you that I think wages must be raised. Hell, I even think minimum wage should be at least 80000 or even 120000( my wildest dream). Looks like you didn't hear. Plus I don't believe in any corrupt person. I just simply believe in the right of any business, including any business YOU set up to set it's prices as it sees fit. Simple and short. |

The worst part is, the hotter the day, the more sure one is that NEPA will not provide electricity. We are cursed in this country. |

This was a shower thought I had a few days back. The only way to fix our electricity situation is to sell the whole sector to private firms. Since the government never cared about power generation anyway, let businesses handle things. No company will put their hands into a hopeless situation. Profit is always the major goal. Maintenance is what our sector lacks. We already know things work at the generation end. Transmission will be tackled head on. Put PHCN in the public market. Let Nigerians invest in it. Capital will never be a challenge. Personally, I will throw four million Naira into NEPA shares. If any government tries this, improvement will be seen in under two months. After three to four years, our power sector will rival that of developed nations. Right now, the ability to serve power to the masses is rocket science because the government made it so. Remove its corrupt hands and it will take shape — no different from a lazy horse getting flogged to move.It goes in-line with Nairalanda1’s suggestion. Why are opponents attacking his write-ups without commonsense rebuttals? All I’m seeing is “he spits truth. The truth makes me angry. I must call him wrong in return. I don’t care why.” |
