Hiya, thank you for your reply. Is owning a business sufficient ties?

Hey 🤠

1. Proving home-ties is not just writing out your employer's name or families or property listings . Proving home ties must follow the rigid (unshaking) policy .

2. I can deduced that you 're presently in the UK and to secure United States visa from the UK (as a Nigerian) you must proof a tie WHICH TIE (bind) YOU AND UK TOGETHER .

3. If you are a UK citizen then your family (especially husband , wife and kids ) and job (solid long time job) are sufficient to proof tie.

4. If you are a permanent resident, your family in the UK, Solid job, and properties or ongoing education (ie PhD /MSc in view) will make up for your tie .

5. You just have to proof WHAT MUST take you back to the UK ... NOT WHAT MUST TAKE YOU BACK TO NIGERIA and the United States embassy consulars knows those things naturally . ****.

6. If you are trying to proof Nigeria ties in the UK they won't grant you the visa . You will come to Nigeria and proof those ties to Abuja or Lagos consulars.

Best Wishes 🙏

Hey 🤠

1. Owning a business for an average individual is a form of proving ties but IT'S A BAD TIE .

2. I own 10 sugar manufacturing factories in Leicester (average directors) is not comparable to ; I own 3 cars assembly plants in South Africa, Belgium , and Poland (global director).

3. Either way round , every company owners can manage their company from any where without even visiting the site or location of the company throughout his or her lifetime . Therefore , owning a business is not a sufficient tie for especially average owners .

Best Wishes 🙏

Re: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by Uwembasi: 2:15pm On Mar 05
Thanks house for the great insight you provide here.

I am in the process of applying for UK VISITING Visa. My childhood friend is giving me invitation letter and also going to host me throughout my 3 weeks stay.

I will like to know what he needs to provide specifically apart from the letter.

Also, I have bn running a business for the last 5 years but unfortunately just registered it last month. How do I show prove Of ownership since the last five years.

Re: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by zhukafa(m): 7:31pm On Mar 05
Goodday bro. Please can i chat you uon whatsapp for guidelines. i want to go to the embassy?
cutelass:
If you are for Dropbox and you don’t reside in Lagos, then consider using Abuja cos it’s faster. Here’s my timeline:

submitted ds-160 29/01/24
Request to schedule interview waiver approved in hours.
Scheduled IW on 30/01/24 for 06/02/24
Dropped off passport in DHL 06/02/24
Application received on CEAC status 07/02/24
Updated on 12/02/24 to Refused
Date to schedule 221g was already loaded on portal but I waited to get passport first
Passport picked from DHL outside Abuja 15/02/24
Scheduled 221g on 15/02/24 for 23/02/24 (because they take 221g’s only on Friday) so picked the next friday
221g interview on 23/02/24 (Approved)
Passport back in my town 28/02/24.

Are you a USC or LPR? Then are you filing for your parents? This is a different process not covered in this thread.

If you are either of the above and/or any other status, and they are just visiting; your parents visit visa is same process as any other. You will only provide your address for the question 'where they will be staying' or electing to be the sponsor of the vacation.

Hey 🤠

1. Yes . How long have you been in the United States , and what visa did you use to enter ?

2. Do you have blood siblings back in Nigeria or USA ? Has your parent traveled out of Nigeria before ? Is she or he still working or retired ?

3. Finally is she or he physically fit or has some feasible health challenges ? And when did you visit home last ?

** If i get those clues i will give my own quota of modus operandi

Best Wishes 🙏

1) Refusal under section 221g in a nutshell means the information they have in the application is not enough to grant you the visa and additional information is required. You could be required to forward some documents through DHL or come in for fingerprinting (if your fingerprint is more than 10yrs in their system) or come for a physical interview like my case.

2) There can be a lot of reasons for that Refusal
- Not traveling within the period you stated you would when you got the visa
- Not using the visa at all
- Staying long periods in the US

Do you mind sharing the transcript of your follow up interview please?

I hope she’s not going to tell them in the embassy she’s going to do nanny. Don’t end the interview before it begins.

Was your last trip to the U.S. your first trip there?

Go with documents you feel will help you defend your last trip to the U.S. and other necessary documentation.

You may need to explain why you stayed longer than 4 weeks, They always have issues when you stay longer than 2 to 4 weeks if its not medical reasons. They hardly check documents, but just go with employment docs, bank statements, e.t.c

Nope my last trip was my second time
First trip was in 2022
Second was last year 2023, had an extended time off work last year, so stayed 4 months… deep down I know that’s why I’m been called up for follow up interview,

Do I need to wait for for Dhl to deliver my passport ?
I didn’t get a mail just got the info on the portal, this friday is free for the interview

They rarely ask for documents.

Just ensure you can explain why you stayed that long especially if you're an employee. Above all, pray for favor including meeting a nice VO.

All the best and do keep us updated on the outcome.

I’d say wait till you get it but just to be on the safe side, book the next Friday not 8th (it would definitely have come then).

They want to know why you stayed long, be ready to justify your stay.

I gave birth so they asked for receipts of the medicals and carefully went through.

My hubby is a USC, I have my conditioner residence card which is to be renewed next year. My parent just wanna visit.

Is it advisable that I do the application or my hubby should be the one inviting them?

Thank you.

Also, I'd appreciate if have any link that would be helpful with the application.

You may need alternative help for your wife because dates for B category are in 2025 and your little one has come. With B visa application there’s no urgency except you fall into the emergency appointment category and omugwo doesn’t meet the threshold for the exceptions.

. Good day bro, I also fall under the B category. Please do you know how I can get the alternative help. Even if it will be monetary involvement.
