I think I've seen the reason for the melanin name. It just initially sounded like a feminine/gay name to me. In fact I read Dangote planned everything really well and knew what he was doing siting the refinery in Lagos . If he was planning on banking on naija crude he would've sited his refinery in Rivers , maybe Bonny Island or anywhere in the south south closer to our oil fields .

Instead he sited it in Lagos and designed his refinery such that he will receive feedstock via tanker vessels
