Emefiele a professional listening to Buhari who ain't a professional! Wow! This shows the kind of person Emefiele is.

Buhari told Emefiele to steal money. I get it now.
No though you get it me I don't get it. Buhari came with a manifesto of fighting kwaraption but he was quite comfortable sipping nunu while emefiele was doing his thing with reckless abandon. I don't even need to speak about what happened during the naira scarcity crunch that emanated from emefiele all by himself without buhari knowing about it. Unlike you brother I just don't get it.

Before tinubu became president, we saw at least two videos of his legs or hands shaking anyhow or his body vibrating on a weekly basis, but since the man became president nothing like that. Same way buhari who was sickly as fvck became fresh, hale & healthy after becoming president. Is there a special treatment that presidents receive that isn't available to normal citizens? Because I'm sure tinubu could've afforded any type of medical service while still a normal citizen.

U are only pointing to the already established fact that Buhari's government was dishonest when they set in motion their propaganda machine singing Dangote refinery commencement of operation will lead to more FX for us and also lead to end in PMS importation.

The 20% stake in Dangote was more of NNPC tying scarce FX down to fund a business that will only generate Dividend for NNPC as an investor. It's not going to do all of the other stuff Buhari's government used propaganda to claim.

Simple.

Dangote has the potential to be an FX earner and reduction in FX needs. Key word is potential.

If we can supply with enough crude after meeting our own income need. Dangote will not reach full capacity in year 1 or year 2. It will take time

Check out the reasons why Emefiele came up with the policy and why Buhari approved it.

Some people on this thread even praised Buhari/Emefiele for that policy.

Nigeria has to produce crude for export to generate income for the country that is very important. Now any excess we give to Dangote and others to refine

If due to whatever reason e.g theft and co we cannot

Say we need to export 20m barrel to meet our income needs, Dangote needs 5m barrels. Until we are able to produce 25m barrel before we can satisfy everything. If we produce 22m, Our income need will take precedent, Dangote will get 2 locally and source for 3m barrels anywhere he can get it

Why export to generate income though? Why not just sell to Dangote and achieve the same purpose. Even cheaper for them since cost of logistics is less.

The main problem is that NNPC has no crude to sell. Experts believe all that is left for NNPC once you take away loan obligations is 100,000 barrels a day. Dangote needs 650,000 barrels a day

Dangote will be selling to Nigeria in Fx and naira in the forseeable future. Nigeria committed Fx to Dangote's venture when e could've used the FX in non-oil sector.

With or without FG's committing Fx to Dangote's venture he would still have completed his refinery and sell to us in Fx if we want to buy.

It's not a wise decision thus far.

Crude serves 2 major goals, Most importantly and number 1, FX income and sustaining the economy. 2 is local consumption

That is left to be seen, There have been many projects that didn't achieve their initial aim but its left to be seen if the long run.

At a point we need local refining capacity, Buhari and govt thought helping Dangote will help the local demand. It remains to be seen

See u are just dancing around the point instead of admitting it was financial recklessness and incompetency at full display by Buhari and NNPC.

As at march 2021 Buhari had over 17 trillion borrowed as loan. They know fully well the repayment of these loans are tied to our crude production, at the same time they knew our crude production would not be able to support Dangote well enough after removing the quota already alloted to loan repayment.

Oya why did they still go ahead with tying Fx down knowing what they know ? Na ment?

NNPC doesn't sell to OPEC na.

India that buys most of our crude is not even a member of OPEC.

All NNPC needs to do is sell crude oil meant for export to Dangote and get FX from him.

I don't work in the oil sector, But who will India buy from?
My understanding is this and someone more knowledgable can correct me

Oil companies drill and give Nigerian govt their portion based on agreement 65-35, 60-40 etc
Oil companies (Shell/Chevron) take theirs sell the crude or refine and sell anywhere they want in the world at prevailing global prices.
Naija govt through NNPC sells theirs mainly as crude to generate income to fund salaries, projects budget etc
whatever is left would be sold to Dangote and local refineries to refine for local consumption
The refined would be sold at a reduced price to Nigerians (because he wont incur shipping cost and due to the benefit he got from govt in the first place)

Is the above right or wrong. If wrong which part of it

Do you think Dangote will buy all our oil meant for export and pay us? You think Dangote has the capacity to buy our Govt portion of oil

Due to shortfall in our production capacity, we are unable to meet both export and local Dangote needs
Our export takes priority because that is what is keeping the budget and economy running
Since Dangote cannot get all he needs from govt, he has to source from abroad

I thought that after misquoting me you would have at least stated how your BAT is solving the hunger crisis ravaging the country. Does shouting 'Peter Obi is a failure' cure the hunger. APC and BAT adopting 'Peter Obi is a failure' as their mantra to inspire confidence in Nigerians simply show how insecure they are with the mandate they stole.

So Niger state governor says it is shame for us to receive grains from Ukraine.

Is it that there is no clarity on how we came about these grains?

Or do they really think we went on our knees to beg for the grains?

This is correct

Everything about NNPC is shrouded in secrecy. No one knows for certain how much oil NNPC has per day. We took some long term loans and used crude oil as collateral. Experts believe that all NNPC has left is about 100,000 barrels per day once they settle all loan obligations. This may or may not be true. No one really knows. Only NNPC can confirm.

Assuming that is true and dangote needs 650,000 barrels a day, he can absorb 100,000 barrels from NNPC, give them FX and import the remaining.

So yes, he has the capacity to buy the govt portion of the oil. The govt portion of the oil is not even enough for him.

What exactly did she say in his defence
She invited the girls to her office and tried to induce them to withdraw the case by settlement. When the girls refuse she began threatening them claiming she has a recorded statement of their confession. Unknown to her the girls recorded the phone calls exposing her threats. She later apologised. It's the same woman saying that people should not protest because of hunger, that it is unpatriotic. Is she not a witch?
