What The Various Political Parties Must Do At Elections To Avoid Being Cheated by BluntCrazeMan: 1:00am On Mar 08 |
HERE IS THE QUICK SUMMARY OF WHAT THE LABOUR-PARTY AND ALL THE OTHER VARIOUS PARTIES MUST BE DOING AT THE ELECTIONS IN ORDER TO AVOID BEING CHEATED OUT WITH THE MANIPULATIONS OF FIGURES.. Before I begin, I want to categorically state it here; that if Nigeria had been using the full Electronic Transmission and COLLATION options for the management of the election results, then there won't be much need for the engagement of any party-agents at the various collation centers, since the WHOLE original electronically collated results by the electronic collation system, and their manually revised counterparts which are the manually cross-checked versions of the electronically collated results -- and also, ALL those official declarations of results at the collation centers -- are all supposed be published and released to the public within just ONE WEEK after the final results are officially announced -- that is,, if the electoral laws which support the electronic transmission and collation were properly drafted and IMPLEMENTED inside the Electoral-Act. Thus; from there, any interested parties or individuals can immediately engage the services of independent forensic audit firms to go through the two sets of the INEC’s released results, and urge the audit firms to come up with their audit-reports and recommendations within 7-days. Nevertheless, since the word “transmission” as it was mentioned inside the Electoral-Act-2022 had been translated by the courts to also mean “Manual Transmission”, then the need and the necessity for having Party-Agents at all the Collation-Centers just got Quadrupled. ... 1. The parties must have to recruit the APPROPRIATE NUMBER of “unwavering” and “steadfast” Party-Agents. Recall that Section: 43(3) of the Electoral-Act-2022 made it very clear that party-agents are not mandatorily compulsory in the processes of the elections. And then, the Section: 71 of the Electoral-Act made it clear that the party-agents of the various parties can only counter-sign the results only where they are available to do so. This means that, where there are no party-agents for some parties, the parties whose party-agents are available should do the counter-signing. But then, in as much as the presence of party-agents are NOT mandatory, they are actually very very necessary, especially During The Collation of Results. The minimum number of party-agents which any party must engage for any election, should be the exact number of party-agents which coincides with the available number of collation centers, starting from ALL the Wards/RA Collation Centers, LGAs Collation Centers, States Collation Centers and-so-on. Thus, for a SMALL Party which cannot afford to engage party-agents at the polling-units,, they must make sure that there are party-agents at all the Collation Centers at all levels,, and that they must be doing the right things at the right times. ..... 2. The parties should properly educate ALL their engaged party-gents on their various specific functions, both those at the various polling-units and those at the various collation centers. The party-agents at the polling-units must be taught by their various parties to ensure that all the voting materials were untampered with,, and that they were fully and properly taken note of, and recorded by the presiding officers in the appropriate books before the start of the election. (Section: 73(2) of Electoral-Act). The party-agents should also be taught to ensure that every accreditation must be done with the BVAS Machines. There is no other acceptable method of accreditation except the BVAS Machines. Therefore, the Party-agents at the polling-units should know this. (Section: 47(2-&-3) of Electoral-Act). The party-agents at the Wards/RA collation centers should be taught that no collation can start for any polling-unit results that were brought to the collation center until the accreditation-data which was captured inside BVAS Machines were cross-checked with those that were written on the results-sheet and confirmed to be correct and consistent. Also, the photos of the results-sheet which was captured inside the BVAS-Machines must be cross-checked with the physical results-sheet (including the SERIAL-NUMBERS) so as to confirm that the physical sheet that is to be used in the collation of results is the same with the one captured by the presiding officer at the polling-unit.. If the party-agents noticed any discrepancies they must raise objections immediately, and demand for the cancellation of such polling-units where inconsistencies were discovered. (Section: 64(4a-&-4b) of Electoral-Act) The party-agents at the collation-centers should also be taught to immediately start-up their video cameras whenever they are raising such objections, so as to also capture the responses of the collation officers, whether the responses of such collation officers are in-line with the Electoral-Act or not. All the responses of the collation officers are supposed to be captured on video camera for evidence purposes. The party-agents should also be taught on the proper ways to raise disputes during the collation exercise. It is not just enough for them to be shouting: “We cannot take this..!! Noooo..!! This is fraud..!! They shouldn't even think of boycotting the collation process at any point for any reason., else they will miss the main evidence which they would need to go to the election-petition tribunal. The party-agents should be taught to know the names AND NUMBERS of all the various polling-units they are reporting, and then, the correct supposed results, and the fake results that were announced. For party-agents at the higher-levels of collation,, they should name the wards and the LGAs as the case may be, call out the correct sums of the votes, and then call out the wrongly summed votes due to the fake results. The party-agents as always, should have everything recorded by the video camera, including the response of the collation-officer. The collation-officer is supposed to halt the collation once the mistakes were pointed out. Then, call for the various results, and also call for the BVAS Machines of all those affected/mentioned polling-units for cross-checking and possible corrections, re-collations, and/or cancellations of such affected polling-units if their were irreconcilable discrepancies in such polling-units. If the collation-officer didn't resolve the specific disputes that were raised at the collation-center, and lied that “ALL the corrections would be made at the final collation center”,, then that collation-officer had totally disobeyed the Electoral-Act, and must be captured on camera while he/she was saying such a thing, so that the video would serve as evidence against him/her. (Section: 64(6a, 6b, 6c, 6d) of the Electoral-Act) Wherever a collation-officer didn't obey the Electoral-Act during the collation of results; either by not cancelling the polling-units where there are gross inconsistencies, or by not fully resolving the disputes that are raised at that particular level of collation using the procedures outlined inside the Electoral-Act --before delivering their collated results to the upper level of collation, then, the names and positions of such collation-officers must be obtained by the party-agents, and such collation-officers shall be independently joined as respondents to the election-petition -- for them to appear at the tribunal and exonerate themselves. (Section: 64(9); and First-Schedule: Parag-51(1) of the Electoral-Act) The party-agents should be taught extensively on how to properly communicate the appropriate information among themselves and within themselves, and to help each other in the quick calculations and collations of the disputed results,, so that the party-agents at every level of collation would NOT be finding it difficult to present very accurate data while presenting the disputes.. .... 3. The parties should also properly and consistently and frequently educate the voters on how to monitor & follow their votes after casting them. This particular activity can be done by the various parties through jingles, or during their public campaigns, or with the help of public announcement systems, and/or the mainstream or social media. The people should always follow their votes, since the system is not yet automated and instant. FROM PREVIOUS EXPERIENCES... THERE VERY HIGH POSSIBILITIES THAT ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN ALONG THE WAY WHILE THE RESULTS ARE BEING TRANSPORTED. THE RESULTS CAN EASILY BE SWAPPED OR HIJACKED ALONG THE WAY. Therefore, It is also the duty of the voters to keep their eyes on the results from a very safe distance, so that they themselves wouldn't become interference to the results, or come in the way of harm from the evil-doers who usually use violence to cause mayhem to the results while it is being transported. |

If you observed very well, you will notice that I didn't say anything about the IREV-Portal inside the main write-up.. Yes.. THE POLITICAL PARTIES ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO TRUST THE IREV-PORTAL ANY LONGER, since the Nigerian Courts has concluded that it is not supposed to be an active part of the election. Rather, It was just supposedly meant for the voters and the general public. Therefore, since my write-up is targeted towards the political parties, then there is no need mentioning anything about the IREV-Portal here any longer,, unless the parties would develop their own independent parallel IREV-LIKE PORTAL which doesn't source its own data from the INEC’s IREV-Portal. |

Labor party has to make head way into the Core North and Aslo the south west. And start winning elections from the bottom slowly to the top. You cannot have 1 governor and win the presidency ? Labor party is still a baby party. Even the online members are busy alienating potential voters everyday. |
