1. Nissan Murano

When our agent led us to check our current apartment, I saw this cool ride parked right in the compound. Months after we moved in, the vehicle was barely driven, but a mech paid almost daily visits trying to fix it. Vehicle would work for a day or two, and then go utterly bad again. The mech couldn't just resolve the fault, and we could see the owners had suffered huge financial loses and trauma trying to get the Car to work. We knew it was game over when the car owners reached out to us that they were looking for buyers. Car was sold scrap even as the engine was working.


2. Ford Edge

From Alternator going bad without any provocation, to car controls acting up, overheating engine, Fan issues, electrical problems, Engine Oil Pressure, Water Pump, Battery losing strength etc, this is mid-size SUV typically fits the phrase 'hoping for the best, while expecting the worst'. It's probably one of the terrible brand's ever made by Ford.

3. Ford Explorer

Before my younger sis and family moved abroad, her husband used a 2013 Ford Explorer. Solid machine, but something caught my attention - the vehicle seemed to be paying weekly visits to the mech, and sometimes it would be out of service for a prolonged period. Transmission issues, engine failing to start out of the blue, electrical system problems, etc, you definitely don't want to experience the gore the vehicle brings.

NB: These opinion are based on my personal experiences.

A friend contacted me about getting a Benz ML 350, and my major worry was whether he had a competent qualified mech in the radar. Driving a Benz really requires thick muscles.

As every other car on the road, timely and adequate maintenance is key. Ford cars are practically rugged and reliable, but it seems there aren't many happy Ford owners out there undecided

Pls I want to ask,all benz owners. Is it true. I have 2 guys I've known for sometime,tho they lied to me. They got a naija used benz but were claiming its toks. What I noticed. They always said they needed to warm their benz every morning for like 30mins before driving it. So that the oil can circulate. I was shocked because nigeria does not experience snow. Or is it because it was a lemon they bought.my dad's c200 in 2004,was never warmed before driving.as soon as we go downstairs.car starts and we move....

Forget say na fine car but You see that Nissan murano ehh, avoid it like a plague, especially the 2005 model, no wonder the car is very cheap.

I think you are correct about Cars from Canada. Most cars from that region tend to be salvaged vehicles. But then are there specific brands of cars we should look out for, that have a tendency to drain one's pocket considering the talk about Ford and Nissan cars undecided

Nissan Murano is only I May say their is atom of truth in what you said.


You see Fords and other American brands, they are cool rides but we don’t have good technicians to work on them but our guys are trying a lot now.Many technicians work Ford and other American brands in Ojuelegba Lagos and the balancing of the rides on highway is 2nd to non.
