The Yorubas were known for using fellow humans as sacrifice, killing them to apease orunmila, obatala and sango until they were caught up with modernization just recently.
The hausas were known for invading communities and slaughtering their defenseless citizens only to establish centralized caliphates that was used to rule the region as championed by utman Dan fodio of the 15th century.
