First successful bilateral hand transplant in Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi

45 years old Painter, who lost both his forearms and Hands in a tragic train accident in 2020 is about to hold his brush again, thanks to the surgical excellence of a group of Delhi doctors and a woman's organ donation.
The hands of Meena Mehta, former administrative head of a prominent South Delhi school who was declared brain-dead, came to the 45-year-old rescue.

Ms Mehta had, during her lifetime, pledged her organs to be used after her death. Her kidney, liver and corneas have transformed the lives of three others.

The surgery, which took more than 12 hours, involved connecting bones and every artery, muscle, tendon and nerve between the donor's hands and the recipient's arms. Dedication paid off and at the end, when the team of healthcare staff posed for a picture, the double thumbs-up by the painter who got his hands back.

Wow. This is nice one from India. India is always compared to Nigeria when it gets to negativity. Hope the ones doing the comparison can still compare this to us. 21st century we're still acting and behaving like cavemen. They also have brain drain, but have the best doctors and software engineers in the world

CEO of Google is indian
CEO of Microsoft is Indian
CEO of Starbucks is Indian
CEO of IBM is Indian
CEO of Adobe Systems is Indian
Prime Minister of Great Britain is Indian

Great Britain colonized Indian same way they colonized Nigeria...

100 years later India is richer than Great Britain, and on their way to become the 4th largest economy in the world...aside their amazing breakthroughs in Tech, Medicine, and Military equipment.

Meanwhile, fellow colony Nigeria is still here collecting food donations from Ukraine angry

Something is fundamentally wrong with us black people. This is my submission.

Wait, how do you even sleep at night knowing that Nigeria of just 200 million population have more poor and hungry people than India of 1.1 billion population ??
How can you even make sense of this

Hope the hands can be lifted?
Good Question from an Intelligent souL.
It takes neural pathway to lift those limbs independently and not just surgically apposing and approximating bones, muscles and fascias through fracture fixation and skin suturing.
It also takes vascular repair to ensure supply to the neural pathway as in vasanevorum. A whole lot.
Let's hope it doesn't turn gangrenous in few days 2kom
