A Nigerian man posted a video on how to survive Nigeria in 2024, the video is funny at the same time worth considering.
He recommended shifting from the use of gas and electricity for cooking to the use of charcoal stove, from the eating of fish and cow meat to the eating of lizard meat, from the use of orthodox medicine to the use of herbal medicines with some recommendation for the treatment of certain diseases and sicknesses...

Contrary to old perceptions Nigeria's native Agama lizards are NOT poisonous to eat and are nutritious since the reptiles do eat a variety of high protein insects as their primary diet. Some of the same people who might look down their noses at anyone eating Agama lizards, would not hesitate to eat the flesh of the much bigger Nile Monitor Lizard, which resides in Nigeria's swamps and forests.

It is a well-documented fact that during Nigeria's fractious civil war that closed out the 1960s, starving civilians caught up in the war hunted and devoured all the Agama lizards they could find, with no adverse effects on their health whatsoever.

Nigeria is not worst to this extent, why eat lizard as substitute for meat, that's confirm sufferness...

Though during my days in school as a microbiologist, we did a course (Medical microbiology), where we learnt alot about how majority of these our so called medicine came about...

Research made it known that snake, lizard and some reptiles have been used and still being used to do more drugs for healing...


But boiling and eating lizard 🦎 is a no no for me...

I never knew there is a town named aba in Osun state (knowing that you guys never travel)

I need to refresh my geographical knowledge and stay away from such place. The thin line between Lizard delicacies and cannibalised meat is very vague in that your area
