RFK Jr says he will announce his running mate pick within the next two weeks…

The names that are on his shortlist are: former Rep Tulsi Gabbard; Aaron Rodgers; former Minnesota governor, Jesse Ventura; Andrew Yang, and Senator Rand Paul.
If he selects Ventura then Trump wins Minnesota

More woes for Fani Willis.

Audio of whistleblower Convo with Fani Willis out..........
Whistleblower....alleged that the Willis administration misused federal funds, blowing a $488,000 U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) grant on "swag," Macbooks, and travel. (The federal funding was supposed to finance an advocacy center for at-risk youth in the county, but it never opened.)
Willis provided no justification when she fired the whistleblower, Amanda Timpson, on Jan. 14, 2022.

Like maga and rationale go together?

Your colleague might claim that was not a 'weapon' or was just an American asserting the second amendment.
You are not wrong. I will find out this week. I am very suspicious of individuals who are critical in their daily lives but unconditionally support Trump. It suggests that there is some deeper emotional rationale inhibiting their thought process.

I would exercise caution regarding this sentiment, considering it is a General Election and Trump is on the ballot. People will likely be more deliberate and considerate in their voting choices.

This is a great clip by Steve Kornacki that explains what states Biden and Trump need to win the Presidency. Helpful for anyone still unsure about which states will be the battleground states this election, who won them last time and how they factor into someone getting 270 electors or enough electors of the electoral college to win the Presidency.

The relevant part starts at the 1:53 mark.

Do you even know who Jesse Ventura is? He's a popular native Minnesotan wrestler and popular liberal governor under little known Reform party.

Both candidates are heavily disliked but Biden's coalition is very very fragile. He can't afford to lose any bit of it...Trump's is likely steady, check 2016 result when 2 unpopular candidates were top of their tickets.

Biden is the less popular than Carter and viewed widely as too old, senile and incompetent.

Nothing is certain but if Ventura becomes RFK jnr's running mate then the difference between the winner and loser will be less than 2 points.

Seems the UK govt has seen through the lbgtq movement.

Your daughters have not started college. I want you to educate them so they are empowered to resist brainwashing and anyone who would exploit them please so they don't end up magarised like you.

I completely understand your sentiment but let's not act like Biden is a popular and formidable candidate... They already expressed it in the Minnesota primary.

New Hampshire, Maine, Michigan, Arizona, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin would definitely give some chunk of votes to third party... You'll get to see that on November. Not predicting a general election winner though but I'm baffled if anyone thinks Biden got this.

15-year-old terrorists in the West Bank decided to attack Israelis. He was killed as he answered the calls of Hamas to use Ramadan to raise tension in the West Bank. They will add him to the list of children Israelis have killed. You hear the amount of children that the war has taken. How many are 15 to 18 and were part of the so-called freedom fighters?

I will support you if you educate your children instead of leaving their education to some others. Though, saying that, I do worry that you might educate them to be si like you but since you stay away, that fear is lessened.

Pay school fees for you children and join the teacher-parent association of your kid's school or encourage their mother to join please so that the wrong that you are can be corrected in them.

Your parents sent you to primary and secondary, you are lucky the lgbt movement was not a thing yet. In Nigeria and many countries, they don't have these issues and they know when they send their kids to school, they learn what they sent them there to learn not Mouth Gig and anal sex.

Parents cannot home school their kids due to many reasons. And statistics shows most parents can only afford to send their kids to a public school. It is idiotic to think that because you say you educate your children it means others who find themselves in this grooming situation does not.

Your arguments is stupid like you.

The guy you were arguing with pointed out how in china, children turned on their own parents because of the schools brainwashed them and that lead to the death of their parents.

Thank you for the reminder of who Ventura is. Lol. I'm kidding.

I understand your point. You have to recognize that this is a General Election, and Democrats tend to be more focused on specific issues. So, in a year where Roe v. Wade, IVF, and democracy itself are at stake, I don't see many liberal voters opting for Ventura as VP, especially when RFK is at the top of the ticket and they know neither can win.

I suggest looking at both the Democratic and Republican Minnesota primary results. Biden and Trump both received around 70% of their respective party votes. Approximately 30% of Republicans voted for Haley, and some of them expressed they would never vote for Trump. Biden had about 18% voting Not Committed, largely as a protest vote due to the Israel War. Whether all these Not Committed voters will stay home and not vote is uncertain, but it's unlikely given the perceived alternative of Trump, which many see as much worse for the Middle East.

You're referencing 2016, but 2020 provides a better indicator. Ijebos shared a good video with the electoral map from 2020 and what Trump must do to win. Trump faces a more challenging path. Consider this: Trump barely won in 2016 and lost significantly in 2020. Has he gained voters since then, especially with the events of Jan. 6th and the subsequent indictments?

I frequently hear the accusations of senility and incompetence. Do you watch a lot of Fox News? (Not meant as an insult, just curious if you've seen Biden give a speech or appear in public fully, not just in clips.) I recommend watching the State of the Union address. Biden is obviously older and has a stutter, but to argue that he is more senile than Trump is not a convincing argument.

You are correct that third parties make November less predictable.

Maybe just maybe people support trump because of issues that affect them personally e.g Economy and jobs

Someone analyzed why Trump is popular with many middle class and working people. Say 90s to 2000s Republican party was seen as the party of the elites rich people thus tagged "Country club party" or party of the "chamber of Commerce" while Democrat represent the working class people

Over time the working class people got screwed more and more. Take a drive around he country see middle America and see abandoned factory towns, You will know this places used to have a thriving economy many years back but the elites in both parties have abandoned the middle class people taken away the jobs that matter away to China and everywhere leaving them hopeless

Trump came and spoke to these set of people and they were the ones that delivered the rust belt to him in 2016.
Now the Democratic party seems to cater to the super Ivy league elites and the very poor on welfare. The middle class get shafted by both parties. These are the people that are the core of Trump support

This is a task if you want to, Go outside speak to a Trump supporter in America without the preconceived judgmental attitude and try to hear him out and you will see that he is not crazy

You can say that Trump only lied and didn't fulfil his promises but for some reasons those people trust him

Recently I was in a gathering with a group of Nigerian Americans mostly late 30s to 40s. Many of them in Tech/IT and the complaint is that since Biden came many of their Tech jobs have been offshored and they are without jobs or the rates are now very low due to offshoring

This was late last year and I told them I will vote any Republican as long as its not Trump, Almost 6 of the guys jumped up on me that "Even if Trump they will vote him". Note all these guys used to be democrat voters one of them was even an Obama volunteer in his college days

One thing I noticed though all their wives stated they will be voting Biden because of Abortion rights but the guys said Economy and jobs are of a bigger concern to them than anything else.

I can understand this. The biggest concern for any man is economy and how to feed his family. Anything that threatens that makes him very worried

Different voters have different things that bother them

I am Nigerian, as I believe many in this thread are. I've witnessed both elections, and I can confidently say there's simply no comparison. I cherish my country, but what's the use of deceiving ourselves about the state of Nigeria's elections? It serves no one.

Watching the recent election, I witnessed in disgust, individuals stealing ballot boxes and people dying because of a vote. This is far from what a safe and secure election entails. Such things are unheard of in the United States.

It feels like we're being gaslighted by you, though I'm uncertain of the motive behind it.
And who can help all the things that leftists feel? Leftism is a feeling-based, as against fact-based, Ideology
I've told you that my comment was not referenced to any particular country, but was on world and human affairs generally, wherever woketopian voting practices occur.

Many Americans may trust Trump more on the economy, even with relatively strong economic performance under Biden:

Perception vs. reality While the overall economic numbers under Biden have been good (low unemployment, solid job growth, etc.), the perception among many doesn't match the data. High inflation has been a major issue, eroding wages and consumer confidence. So the "feel" of the economy may not align with the statistics.
Partisan motivated reasoning For some, there is a predisposition to view the opposing party's handling of the economy more negatively, regardless of actual conditions. This partisan motivated reasoning can cause people to discount positive economic news under a president they don't support.
Messaging and branding Trump was very skilled at branding himself as a billionaire businessman and economic populist looking out for American workers. This image may persist for some voters despite mixed results during his term.
Policy differences There are substantive disagreements over economic philosophies. Some prefer Trump's approaches like tax cuts, deregulation, hard line on trade - even if the outcomes were uneven. They may see Biden as too favoring renewable energy over fossil fuels, too pro-union, too eager to spend, etc.
Extent of recovery While the economy has recovered job losses from the pandemic, some perceive the recovery as incomplete or exclusionary for certain industries/regions that were Trump strongholds.
Specific impacts At a micro level, an individual's personal economic situation (income, costs, job status) under each administration can color their overall perception more than national data.
So while the economic statistics have been relatively healthy under Biden so far, factors like personal experiences, partisan views, credibility perceptions, and policy differences may lead some to nevertheless maintain more trust in Trump's stewardship of the economy. Of course, opinions on this can vary widely among Americans.
Also, many people in the tech industry are actually losing their jobs. Also, working two jobs to be able to live is not an argument for strong or good economy.

You yourself have stated above that the "biggest concern for any man" is not the biggest concern for the women who are their wives, and that "Different voters have different things that bother them".

Democracy is majority rule, at it's very basics. And some of us are hoping that enough people (men and women) would be happy enough about the economy, and that enough women would convince their husbands not to vote for an abortion rights denier.

raumdeuter, I don't think your friends wives are stupid, nor your friends for that matter. And I bet none of them would consider an abortion at the stage of life they are at. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if none or only a tiny few have ever aborted, and I'd bet they've educated their daughters and even their sons to avoid whatever would make aborting an option. So, why do you think they support abortion rights so much?

Think. One party is denying birthers, and calls asylummees rapists and terrorists, and wants to build a wall to keep them out, while the other is being accused of going to their homeland to invite them in in hoards.

People abort for different reasons married people actually abort more. Women are more likely to be swayed by social issues while men who have to feed a family pay more attention to economic issues

You are more likely to sit in front of TV monitoring your stock market portfolio while a woman is likely to be more concerned about the issues of school choices for her kids

Come on, you are being disingenuous.

Let's use your term 'Woketopian,' which I understand to refer to liberal Western democracies. The guiding principle in these 'Woketopian' places is equality, and this equality is rooted in the ability to vote freely and fairly in elections.

Therefore, no, I hope Nigeria reaches such standards one day, but as of now, there is no 'Woketopian' country, as you call it, where Nigeria's voting practices are superior.

I agree. And I do acknowledge that, at present, Trump appears to have a slight edge over Biden in terms of the economy. However, this advantage isn't due to statistical measures (excluding inflation, which is a global issue), but rather because of propaganda. I hope this perception changes as the election approaches and more accurate comparisons emerge.

Yes, the polls are concerning, but I believe, just as in 2022 and the primaries, they may overrepresent Trump's support.
