They no longer call it loans.
You take a loan from China to build infrastructure, and still give the construction contract to China. Thereafter China may still be the one managing and profiting from it until the loan is fully paid, by Which time the infrastructure would have deteriorated to the point that a new loan from China will be needed to repair the place, and guess who the contract goes to...
Correct observation by you there!
Buhari planted it, Tinubu must water it, Nigerians must harvest the bitter fruit. The funny thing is, they've planned to take over all lands and destinies in the country after destroying the economy yet many in the south are still mortally bitter enemies over 2023 presidential election. By the time they become hopeless slaves on their own land their eyes will see clearly.

Smh. You forgot to include Ondo and Lagos states in the South West yet Lagos State singlehandedly built two solid modern fast train lines.

You can not keep making excuses for the mediocrity of your state Governors. Loans will be mostly paid from the revenue from the train service.

Asiwaju Tinubu is always ahead of his mediocre political opponents.

His political opponents, the naysayers and unpatriotic elements are so clueless and filled with so much negativity and bigotry that they had no clue, didn't see this surprise coming that this is part of the reasons he lifted the sanctions.

Asiwaju will always be ahead of you. $1.3 billion inflow is huge! So much jobs to be created and Niger Republic can now be using mostly our ports in Lagos including the Lekki deep seaport, to import all their national import needs and sea freight. Congrats Nigeria.

God bless you my dear brilliant, visionary and hardworking President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. God bless Nigeria for ever! Check my signature for free stuffs!
where is the $1.3b coming from?

is it coming Tinubus pocket it is another loan?

how does building a rail line to Niger make sense and how is it patriotic when many places in Nigeria are not connected by rail?

does that not show that Tinubu is more mediocre than the imaginary opponents that you say Tinubu has?

This only shows that the Junta defeated ECOWAS.

PUTIN is the man.

SophistiWretched. It's a route to bring in ISIS hard Jihadists and military equipments.

APC government is on a program of future Talibanization of Nigeria.

Buhari established a programme of a possible 24 years of Muslim presidency for Nigeria. It's for buying ample time for Talibanization of Nigeria.
Ipob, what's your business with Nigeria?, face your landlocked country.

I knew when few weeks back the vice president Shettima went to see Buhari and over a week ago,Tinubu the president went to see Babangida in Minna,i knew the Northern 'masters' were upto something,i guess the issue of Northern interest was discussed and certain measures must be applied to assuage them, which is the immediate reopening of the Niger borders and also the need to quickly secure loans for projects classified as being dearest to the North.
Anyway,my only concern is that this reckless borrowing for politically induced projects must stop, this politicians should stop mortgaging the future of our unborn kids, the borrowing is just becoming too much.

This, perhaps, is the smartest comment you've posted so far on this forum as far as you're concerned. Unfortunately, we don't share the same sentiment because dumbness is inexpensive.

First they open the border, now they want to build railway. They have opened road for Buhari to travel, afterall he said if we disturb him he will run to niger
He still can't go anywhere because those military leaders are going to see him as a threat. He is a very close friend to the ousted president. They will be watching him like a hawk and even invite him for interrogation if need be.

How much proposed revenue are we going to benefit from this project?
A very good question this govt should tell Nigerians!
What has been the Contribution of Niger to Nigeria here and at whose interest is all this ( completion) of Railway?
If the Niger Republic knows that it is important to Nigeria, they wouldn't even try to brag of living the ECOWAS!
Besides,is this Not what the Northerners wants - 'open the Niger borders',so that their activities would continue!
If Tinubu opens this borders, all other borders should equally open for the Masses,so that things - especially Foodstuffs become cheaper to import into Nigerian because telling Nigerians here - that you want to receive some ($) Dollars,is not enough reasons!
