I wonder why senate did not debate and investigate Ningi's claim before he was suspended.
Akpabio is a controversial and corrupt politician with tendency to steal at will
This man was under NDDC investigation for stealing Niger Delta funds before he was selected as a senator and appointed as senate President by Tinubu.
He collected bribes from ministerial nominees before screening them and thereafter sent peanuts as prayer to other senators mailboxes and pocket the rest.

Every senate has done all these things.

A can of worms have been open

The truth of the matter is that the 2024 budget presented by Tinubu was truly padded with over N3 trillion and not tied to any project.

While the common man in the streets continues to bear the brunt of the calamitous economic policies being dish out on a daily by the Tinubu-led administration, Tinubu and those who work with him continue to swim in opulence, sharing and pocketing billions of Naira meant to uplift the living standard of the common man.

It shall not be well with those who worked, supported, and voted for this catastrophic Tinubu regime.
Well you are just ranting emotionally and ignorantly
Is it true that there is over 3 trillion in the budget that is just listed as bulk sums and not ?itemized ?
Yes absolutely true

Is it transparent and should it be so?
Absolutely not

Is it padding
Again absolutely not?

What is the money for?
INEC
TETFUND
NATIONAL ASSEMBLY
JUDICIARY
among others
These are entities that collect their money in bulk without breakdown in the budget
For whatever reason it was agreed long ago that Judges will not come to the National Assembly to defend budget for a number of reasons relating to independence

Unfortunately it has always been so with INEC too

It did not start today and is nothing to do with Tinubu or AKpabio
It is a budget passed by the Senate TOGETHER with the National Assembly not the Senate alone
So if Niingi is unhappy about it he knows what to do

To come and do two things
1. Claim the budget is antiNorth
2. Pretend that these allocations without breakdown is something new

Is very dishonest and mischievous

You have every right to hate Tinubu
However let us be factual and rational, ask questions and listen to answers
I can agree that the Judiciary and perhaps even INEC should have financial independence but others should have a breakdown
For that to happen the rules have to change .
Is there padding?
There is no budget that does not have padding
Even housewives pad budgets for their husbands but this one Ning is doing is pure drama

Was there a breakdown of INEC budget under Buhari,Jonathan or Obasanjo?

In all these fights, Ningi should let us know how much was credited to his account the way Abaribe did..If he can't, he should stop the accusation.

Did Abaribe tell his constituents he collected money before now?

Let Abaribe the saint itemize the projects he did with the collected sum.

No be today Abaribe dey claim saint for Senate.

U took it personal first, when u started laying curses on those who excercised their franchise, just because they didn't vote for ur preferred thief Pândora Obi. I didn't vote for Tinubu. Nevertheless, it's wrong to lay curses on people because of whom they chose to vote for. We can not all reason the same way or make same choices. We perceive, think and comprehend things differently. So why laying curses on people for being different ?
Those who voted for Tinubu can't see the good things u saw in Pândora Obi and u can't see the good things they saw in Jagaban either. None of u intended to vote for ur choices with the aim of making life unbearable to others.
I personally did not vote during the election, but I'd prefer Tinubu to Pândora Obi any day any time. grin

Senator Adeola Yayi has explained the 3.7 trillion that were budgets made for about 9 other government agencies like National Assembly,UBEC, TETFUND, INEC etc whose budgets are not part of the main 25 trillion budgets but no one wants to listen anymore.

Learn to respect other people's choices.

Also, learn to take responsibility for the choices you make.

He was never the better choice in the last general elections; in fact, he was the least qualified if you look critically at the array of candidates that presented themselves for the office of the president of Nigeria

This is the only candidate who ran away from debates and interviews where his intelligence and capabilities would have been assessed. He avoided all that, and somehow, through rigging, he emerged victorious, and today, after just nine months in office, the country is worst off economically and security-wise.

Tinubu has turned out to be a catastrophe.

What made your own candidate a better choice? What economic miracle had he performed before in Nigeria that made you hope that if we vote for him he will transform the country?

At least Tinubu performed minor transformative miracles in Lagos that made us believe in him. So if it appears that he is failing now, those failures that cannot be exclusively traced to him. These are the results of inept and corrupt governance over the years which he is trying to correct.

And let me remind you that your own candidate would not do better than this, even if he is an economic magician.

Money for constituency project is understandable that is for constituent to demand accountability from their senetors, but just writing 3 trillion naira in a budget without tying it to any project, now that should be a crime
Even consistency projects is an aberration. Since when do senators start doing local government chairmen and councillor's work?
Everything in this country is just upside down.
The closest form of government to the people would not be allowed to function, but people who are supposed to be making laws are now given huge sum that no one demands accountability for, to execute constituency project.
How did we get to this point exactly?
The national assembly is a major problem in our quest for greatness in this country.

Ningi seem confused, as a senior senator you must talk with proof able facts and figures not with emotional politic syndrome.

Zonal intervention fund(constituency allowance fund) had always been given to all senators to care directly for the people of their constituencies directly.

There is more to Ningi's false claim and the middle Belt and southern senators may not see what is coming.

Was that fund part of the budget? And why was it not given to all the senators?
