I have a budget of 1.5 million naira to start the business (shop rent and shop beautification included on the amount).

Please my good people, is it still advisable to venture into this business without regret, is the business viable?

1.5m is too much,use 500 to start, when you start making sales you can take note of those thy are buying most,carry the 1m and add then.

It works better with container trust me. Container will make you stand out for easier identification.. Especially since you’re not selling wholesales.. buy and install container with 500k. Buy goods of 1m .. if you’re in a viable location , you’ll realise your capital in two months. There’s nothing hidden there.

Also inflation doesn’t affect it, if dollar rises , simply add money to your stuff.

When I started , I monitored it myself for the first 6 months, there was one Sunday like that I sold iPhone chargers worth 70k. My gain was 45k or there about that day .. bought the charger 4k ( 35watt) sold it 15k sold two. That same day I sold that same charger for 12k and 10k for another customers. Depends on the bargaining power of the customers.. I made 8k gain the very first day I started the business , .. I realized 300k the first month .. cos I was writing it down … along the line I added pos and charging of phone with it … u see that charging ? Bro omg money Dey there die. Especially if the area has poor power supply and you’re using solar inverter … at some point I was making 12k on charging of phones alone per day. It dropped to like 5k daily now add it to phone accessories gains and pos and data reselling lol. There were months I made over 500k profits and there were months I made 300.. but there have never been months I made less down 250k gains and never a day I made less down 10k afterward.

Since he does not have any physical cash at hand and all the gain was reinvested into the biz

You can get it cheap at alaba international market Lagos. Come to Lagos , I'll take you to the section where they sell it and link you up with someone there. I'm at alaba international market too but electrical section.

But I'll advise you take out 3 months to learn the rudiments of the business first .

Yes. But don’t rent shop. Buy container and place it at a strategic location . Don’t deal with phone pouch and phone screen guard for starting. Strictly deal with chargers , earpiece and mp3..
Along the line, add phone charging and pos to it, run that one with inverter and you’re good.
I started with one shop a year ago, now it’s two.

It's lucrative business, if your shop not in market square, make sure your shop located at the busy road close to school, offices, motor pack and ensure such business are not close to your location,
If you're planning to add phone's charging to it I will advise you to start with good generator later you make switch to solar

the list is just too endless....

buy from importers or dealers at wholesale price and retail in bulk, cut down on your expenses, save money daily, be courteous while attending to customers, issue receipts on purchased goods, re invest the profits back into the business and watch it grow !!!
you need to be situated in a very busy location where there is foot traffic.



if you are starting out, you don't necessarily need a shop at the moment, you might just need a showglass in a busy marketplace.

Yes it can, it won't be as big as it would have been some years ago but you can always start small. Just look for original parts of different devices that are affordable like TECNO etc. With time, you'll grow and expand to the expensive things.

If u learn the business for 1 year u will be able to use 500k. If u lean it for 2 years then less than 500k. Use the remaining 1m to put in the businessafter you have mastered it!

Shop rent and beautification included u said and I guess generator too??. It will go no where.. I suggest you start with wheel barrow first.

1.5 m is not even enough to knack canter(I e beautification) talk more of other things .
Wheelbarrow is a good start for now. Due to high cost of things, now Accessories included. 1.5m will not go long way like that after buying wheelbarrow. But is a good start . Once u start u will be getting more ideas on what to buy next
