most inverters will go into over voltage protection if fed any voltage higher than 15.5v, the souer inverter at 3s config is your best bet if going for msw

Your best option is a locally built DSP inverter that can be programed to work perfectly with your 4S. No market brand 12v inverter would do.

A 3s LV is at 9v (3v/cell), 12v inverters would shut down at max 10.5v; (3.5v/cell)

I have an msw dat shuts down at 9.45 and the 2nd one 9.78v.

But truth is from 10.5 to 9.78v is roughly 30mins from my test on a 40w load or so.

The 9.45v is a better one.

Searching for 12v inverters that would match a 3s Li-ion setup led me to studying the sachet inverter circuitry and I realised why.

Firstly, the input current at such lower voltage would be higher and require costlier components.

Secondly, the High side Mosfets gate driver might not switch effectively leading to shorting mosfets.

I once successfully modified a TL494 driver based modified sine wave inverter and it worked.
