Tompolo and his boys should be questioned regarding the genesis of all this
Re: "The Audacity": Army Deletes Cryptic Post After Killing Of Soldiers In Delta by edungene7: 7:25pm On Mar 17
By standard how can a Commanding officer lead a team of soldiers into such a terrain without an advance party to comb the area The true story is yet to be told soldiers are too disciplined and trained to have died like chickens if it were to be the Nigerian police I wouldn't have been surprised the NA should investigate this properly is either they were sold out or there was no due diligence

Their dicks only rise when they hear "south"...bunch of cowards.

I wonder when the army started settling land dispute between two communities in this country.

There's something they're not telling us

Still that doesn't justify that gruesome murdering of those soldiers, they are human beings they have families even some are the bread winner of their family....

peace keeping mission my ass, is Nigeria at war? They should go to the north that's where their services are needed. Boko haram and bandits are waiting for them there

Yes Nigeria is at war, in case you haven't noticed, ordinary communial clash can result in mass casualties.....In fact I'm a strong supporter of bringing back military rule, it would get rid of lots of mumu people both in real life and social media grin

The military really gave them enough time to get out even by foot.

That too.
But the settlement is in the creeks.

Before information go reach GOC and DHQ and reinforcements show, matter don spread everywhere say boys don commit.
After that, na to pack small clothes and toiletries enter speedboat.
Na who no hear update, maybe them comot community and network no too good, nai military fit meet.

Personally, I think that's the best way to resolve the situation.
Delay the reprisal operation, so most civvies can get out.
When the military gets there, destroy the houses.

Let rebuilding be the punishment.
And force morale stays high.
Win-win.

Aesthetical:
Twitter majors followed a crew to respond to a distress call
I suspect they went for a shady deal

You dont know that senior officers whose ranks command respect need to be sent to discuss peace with the communities.
You think community leaders would take seriously the military if they sent somw recruits.
Peace talk involves a lot of tecnicallities and diplomacy.....

Every thing is shady to you people, always looking for something negative. It's ignorance that makes you feel that it is shady to send send senior officers to negotiate peace between two communities, just myopic

When has militants turned to villagers? Villagers now own guns? We all know there militants in those creeks involved in oil bunkering. Infact this could be an oil deal gone wrong but them know say nigerians no dey use think critically and will believe any story

Whatever name you call them is not my problem, you are free to call them terrorists, bandits, herdsmen, lawyers or even family members. The fact remains that 16 soldiers were brutally killed in that community unprovoked.
The News agencies clearly stated that there were two WARRING communities and soldiers came there to ensue peace. There is nothing to think critically by transferring the case and crime to militants or to the North. i am sure that you believe every wrong STORY about Nigeria, but when law enforcement takes its course, you choose not to believe that one. Keep deceiving yourself.

When did that happen and what is the village name?
Note, there is no village called "the North".

If you are referring to bandits, they have no village, they are nomadic raiders who resides in the forest.
Even at that, there was a recent revenge drone strike on a Kaduna village.

If you are still in doubt go and read Amnesty International report about the Boko haram war.
The details are quite gory.
Whether in the North or South, the Nigerian army uses crude collective punishment methods
when on revenge mission.

I am not justifying it, just debunking the 'bias' narrative.

Oga shut your trash of a mouth.

In goningora in Kaduna State, an air force lieutenant was kidnapped, ransom was collected and he was killed at the end of the day and nothing happened. Nothing! No revenge!

Stop trying to say there is bias. Was it not last month that a video was released where a set of northeners almost disarmed a soldier and people were cheering them?

The armies will use plane bombings.
rinzaugustine:
People who cut more than 20 soldiers like suya are definitely prepared for anything that will come out. There are a lot of gun factories there and many youths there don’t have any job, so many of them are armed. The last time they did arms mop up was during the amnesty program under Jonathan. They willingly surrendered because Jonathan is their own and used oronto Douglas and co to make them surrender arms. The number of youths carrying arms today there is now even more than when Jonathan brought peace. Mobil oil and other multi nationals saw there was no hope and left, shell waited and saw who was announced as winner of 2023 elections and packed their bags too… Imagine yourself as a Nigerian soldier in a battalion of about 100 other soldiers walk into an ambush in the creek of 250 boys armed with guns. Do you think you can outgun your way out or come out of it alive that day? No you won’t, but you will witness your own death with your eyes hours before you die

You could not even afford to mention up to 5 that i asked you for, meaning that your report was EXAGGERATED to say times without number. In other words, you lied.
Also the three that you gave, despite not being credible, do not show any sign that there was nothing done by the army in response. Stop defending crime because it is committed by particular people, please.

This is why people should not tolerate and support criminals in their domain, they will later turn to monsters and bring unimaginable disaster to all and sundry, No development will come to such place as well

Rest in peace to our gallant soldiers and officers.
Stupid of you to call those murderers Delta youths.
