This will not happen in UK

Am told stinginess is what blows as breeze in that country

When you consider the amount of tax they pay in UK, you will understand.

APC folks are brainless.
He is a security man yet lives the life most civil servants can't dream of or afford.
Just take a look at him and co.pare him with an average Nigerian security man.

Yea most Civil servant can't also travel out so his not different from them someone that can't afford 3000 USD two way ticket can't be more than 1500 and 1500 to come guide so how's he living better than a civil servant they can't afford the basic....

So look for another example until he can afford the flight ticket on his own then we can say his living a better life than a civil servant....

I hate being in a situation where people will raise money for me. It's going to affect me in life and I'll be called an ingrate in the future because I love to exclude myself from things.

If these people who helped me are having birthdays, burial, wedding, etc. and I didn't attend or send a wish, they'll talk bad about me like, "Look at the person we contributed for can't even wish me a happy birthday."

Helping me makes me feel like I'm indebted forever and I don't like it. I prefer to help than being helped. I hate being called ungrateful.

What an incredible display of compassion and solidarity! of students banding together to raise a substantial amount to facilitate their security guard's journey to visit his family in Nigeria is nothing short of inspiring. It exemplifies the inherent goodness and generosity that exists within communities, transcending barriers of nationality and background. This act not only showcases the profound impact of empathy but also highlights the importance of recognizing and supporting those who contribute to our daily lives.

After he come to Nigeria, he won't be the nicest again, he will suddenly become a typical Nigerian.

This is what baffles me about Nigerians. Nigerians could be very nice to Oyibo, even forming "phonetics " just to speak like them, forming disciplined person, nice, respectful and courteous. But once they step into Nigeria or interact with their fellow Nigerians, the madness, disrespect and arrogance starts. I hope he has his papers, otherwise he won't be allowed to return back. Most nigerians in US are not coming home because they haven't perfected their papers.

This is one of the things that make America special. Parents will give Teachers gift during Teachers' week. The Soldiers will be welcomed with several gifts and freebies on arrival at the airport by so many companies. People volunteer in their communities to strengthen the needs. Parents volunteer in schools and raise funds for trips and so on. Nigeria ...we are all about me me me me me. That is why its hard to grow as a people or as a nation. Touch a life and be the difference. I am inspired to give back with IDAGBA Foundation, because in America, even people that don't know you will provide legacy scholarships to fund your education. God Bless USA, God Bless Nigeria too...but we need to be better. So many of these on YouTube you cant watch it all or even on GoFundMe.

Wait, is this the same US that is most talked about??

Well, Nigerians overrated these countries, that's why their visa officers are misbehaving and doing yanga with their visas to Nigerians..

With their yanga, one would think their land easily flows with milk and honey ...

There are poor, homeless, starving people everywhere on earth. Nowhere on earth is heaven. But there are little dots of heaven everywhere on earth. cheesy

For someone who is doing security with bills monthly, it is not so easy to save that much and even if he did, he will probably contemplate just buying land and building than traveling...this gesture goes a long way and show us that this new generation...some of them are indeed special.

they have chosen to use much of their income to subsidise the lives of members of the royal family so what they have left, they have to manage with utmost discretion

What I'm just saying is that A road isn't rosy as before....

Imagine someone needing crowd funding for trip that won't take him more than 2k USD roundtrip and maybe an extra 2k USD to use guide when he comes back home....

My friend is still lamenting to me how he earn low in UK 420 pounds last week and couldn't get a job to do this week and he has a lot of bill he needs to pay that his confused right now...
