Wife was even surprised and asking why should Apple be sued for just doing business like all other Capitalists do

Rubbish!
What does that tell you? It means the U.S. government frowns on monopolizing a market. In Nigeria, they walk around unchecked and freely declaring profits at the expense of dying competitors.

Good move... Must everyone use iPhone...
The useless monopoly makes even an average Nigerian want to have one, always thinking is either ios or nothing hence doing anything possible (whether good or bad) to get it..

Watch how Africans will defend apple here.
People who understand what's up don team up sue them.

Good day Nairalander,

I hope this message finds you well. I am currently a 400L geology student at FUTMINNA, and I am reaching out to humbly request your assistance in finding a placement for my IT training.

I am eager to gain practical experience in my field (Mining, construction, environmental, oil and gas, borehole company ) and would greatly appreciate any leads, recommendations, or opportunities that you may have within your networks. Your support in this endeavor would be valuable to me as I strive to enhance my skills and knowledge.

I'd love to do it within southwest region but I won't mind exploring the world in as much accomodation Nd stipends is involved

Thank you for considering my request, and I look forward to any assistance you can provide

It's not nonsense. basic things users have access to on other operating systems are restricted by apple (nfc emulation, access to full storage, sideloading etc) due to greed. You might not understand these things as a common user but these things are important in the tech, iphone shouldn't be about pictures alone. Apple are greedy abeg!

A waste of time and money.

Companies like Apple, Amazon, Google and Meta are immune to pesky things like lawsuits. Even from an entity as powerful as the US government.

First of all, they have an army of HIGHLY COMPETENT attorneys who live for legal warfare. They are paid FAT cheques to take the law and flog lawmakers with it.

Apart from their legal teams, Apple has a HORDE of customers whose devotion to them can be likened to that of religious extremist.

People sleep OUTSIDE in American weather just for a chance to get Apple's latest gadgets.

Plus, the people who have shares in Apple are movers and shakers of the US economy. They are not to be bleeped with.

For instance, companies like Berkshire Hathaway owns APPLE shares worth about $161B. For context, all the dollars in the Nigerian Foreign Reserves is just $34B. Despite the INSANE padding, Nigeria National Budget is about $19.6B.

BH has $161B in Apple.
BH has an ENORMOUS power in the US stock market.
And it's not even the only one.

This entire lawsuit is a joke.

The day I realized that some companies are bigger than the US company is the day I watched Mark Zuckerberg's testimony before the US Congress.

Mark REFUSED to answer any question straight.

If they ask "What is A?", Mark will reply with "I think Jerry from Tom and Jerry is gay".

All attempts to force him to give a straight answer were met with a variation of "go fuuuck yourself".

Now consider the fact that Apple is 200% BIGGER than Meta and you'll begin to understand why this lawsuits is just bored politicians looking for some short-lived excitement.

Hope you know what the US DOJ can do with the Sherman Antitrust Act. Exactly what they do with John Rockfellers' Standard Oil over a century ago, which they broke into twelve companies which includes, Exxon Mobil, Texaco, ConocoPhillips and the rest and sold them to different people.

Having only iOS and Android as the only two major dominant smartphone OS has actually hurt innovation and consumers suffer!
We should never have ended up with a 2 horse OS race. Go read up on palm OS and Symbian OS, Windows Mobile, BlackBerry etc. I'm not in anyway blaming Apple or Google for their dominance, just stating facts based on my industry experience and what I witnessed first hand. In the USA, the mobile phone carriers actually contributed to dominance of both Apple & Android OS by heavily subsiding the price of the devices in exchange for a service contract with the consumers.
When there's isn't any competition, innovation suffers and companies can charge absurd prices for little.

See? That is a system that watch out for the back of its citizens, not our own 'go and die' /where belle face aggrandizements. It does not even have to do with the president or presidency. All they can is to make statements on the matter - that could tarnish or make him.

If android say they are better than apple why the suits then?? Or they thought apple was on a picture zoom contest with them. They brought rubbish things like tear drop and apple went for notch and they still turned around and followed apple. They made 4sims apple made esim. See if you know the genius behind iPhone u will fear apple. The only reason anyone doesn’t own an iPhone is coz they can’t afford it.

What happened to the right to repair law apple and the rest were against?

Lol, isn't that why they decide to make it difficult for consumer to fix their iPhone, if you change part it will give error msg, it started with face ID and now it's being bypassed.

They want to own your gadget even after you purchase it, who does that.

So not giving a straight answer is now considered as being bigger than the government, your ministers do same here, are they considered that way?

Same thing happened when Harvard president was asked some questions and she refuse to give a straight answer she was forced to resign, even the mark your talking about knows he can't go against the US government.

Nobody will force you to say what you don't want to say, using this as a yard stick is laughable.
