A governor wields so much power. He wills and sets the agenda for society, consciously or unconsciously. But when a man at 53 has not had the discipline to take a wife and manage a home successfully, which is one of the core tests of manhood and maturity, his intentions and credentials to become a governor are suspect.

Why will Olumide Akpata, the Labour party candidate still be single at 53. We know he took a wife earlier, but he is currently unmarried.

Are we electing a governor who will come for our young girls or one who is not bold and confident enough to resist the allure of beautiful women. Someone who is unable to handle conflict. Will our resources be safe with this sort of man?

Edo people, we need a responsible man as a governor. Vote wisely. Vote responsible people to manage your resources.

Calling a divorcé a Bachelor isn't correct, A Bachelor is someone who has never married.

But you stated above that he married at some point but now he is divorced that qualifies him to be a divorcé, while a woman is a Divorcee

Some of the best governors Benue ever had were wifeless.
As a matter of fact the married governors in Benue aside Akume and a few others destroyed the state.
The current Benue state governor is wifeless yet he is doing better than most married governors

With a track record of corruption and embezzlement, its no surprise that LPs candidate is a bachelor at 53, unable to manage a home and susceptible to the allure of beautiful women. Edo deserves better than obedient losers like the LP.

When you just see this kind of analysis you can easily tell its an APC analysis. Is it his wife that would run the state? Does absence of a wife render him handicapped?

Akpata is a former PRESIDENT of the Nigerian Bar Association. In fact, he achieved that feat without being a SAN. The first person to do that in the past 28 years of the NBA history.

One could argue that he reached the peak of his chosen career.

YET some random guy on the Internet is questioning his "manhood and maturity" because he's currently unmarried.

Yesterday, we saw a teenage boy preparing to get married to his teenage bride. OP would have us believe the boy has more "manhood and maturity" than Olumide Akpata.

Only DUMB people with ZERO vision and ambition view marriage as an achievement that proves "manhood and maturity".
