Onitsha is highly underrated for its high rise buildings. Until you watch the video up there you won't realize how massive it is. The structures are there, just solid roads and painting, it will be a tourist destination. Even recent Aba pictures I'm seeing has massive high-rise buildings as well.

No wonder Igbo people in the East are fit and athletic. If you climb up those stairs everyday, that's real exercise right there.

I told a friend this same stuff some months back. Onitsha has the buildings to make it one of Nigeria's most beautiful cities if only the landlords can repaint their houses as the government is fixing the inner roads. Go to YouTube and view the aerial shots of Amsterdam and Zurich in Netherlands and Sweden, they don't have skyscrapers, majority of the houses are 5 storey houses that are well painted with decent roads and sidewalks. Onitsha has similar features. Thank God the governor is actively fixing all the inner roads, the landlords should repaint their buildings and watch how Onitsha will wear a new look. Better still, the governor should make a law for every house owner to repaint his/her house every 5 years.

Charles Soludo should go harder on Onitsha landlords, they should be mandated to repaint their houses with same color and equally plant profitable trees like mango, guava, cashew etc and see onitsha rival so many European cities

One needs to be in onitsha to understand the level of development happening there especially Awka road to Gra down to 3-3 to trans nkisi, what onitsha needs is what prof Charles Soludo is doing for them

The very first time my Yoruba inlaw got to Onitsha on our way home, she opened her mouth and screamed " is this Onitsha, is this Igboland" when we got to our home town and family compound she screamed further "Jesu I never knew this is how Igboland is.

I am not longer hearing Igbo go and develop your region, I wonder what has changed.

Those houses are not Soludo's achievement biko, were ya nwayoo.

Onitsha is beautiful and massive, there's lekki phase1 in Onitsha, Ikeja and co...the only thing remain na our own ikoyi and banana island.

All these town you mentioned were built up with the influence of Onitsha. All are bounded by onitsha and their development started from the boundry, that's why they are all refered as Onitsha even though they are seperate towns.

Even though am from Onitsha, development is not determined by storey buildings.

I don't like Onitsha I will pick enugu or owerri or awka if I was given a choice to select a city in the south east to live ......if given the entire nigeria I will pick Abuja akwa ibom or the ikoyi part of lagos

Enugu, Aba and Owerri look as usual ? How ? The Three cities are ahead of Onitsha in any index of development except you are talking about high rise buildings which only Aba can compete.
