• Sell forex in your possession as an act of patriotism, Oluwo charges Nigerians The pressure on individuals, banks and Bureaux de Change (BDC) operators to offload their excess dollars and other foreign currencies is not about to wane as the raft of policy measures introduced by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) continue to dig in. https://thenationonlineng.net/dollar-crash-pressure-mounts-on-fx-hoarders-to-sell-off/ 14 Likes 2 Shares

Obviously, it is gradually inching towards the official rate. Isn't it high time CBN reduced it to, let's say, N900/$ or 1k/$. And same thing be repeated when it starts converging again. With more effort, we might see the rate getting as low as 200/$ before the end of the year. 79 Likes 12 Shares |

Tinubu met dollar at N700 to a single dollar and right before his eyes, it went up to N1,900. But we're praising his incompetence for subsidizing it to fall to N1,400. Buhari met dollar at N200 and he left it at N700. APC is all about noise and lies. 263 Likes 21 Shares |
Re: Naira gain: Pressure Mounts On FX Hoarders To Sell Off Dollars by Richtaiwo: 8:51am On Mar 24 |
JASONjnr:What happened to, "it will get to 3000/$ before the end of March"? Even if the rate gets to half Naira to one Dollar, you enemies of Nigeria will still find reasons to continue screaming. By that time, it will cease to be Tinubu's doing but the effort of pitobi. Please find a way of getting the hell out of Nigeria. Gerrout. 210 Likes 31 Shares |

Somebody should tell this government that propaganda does not run a government. If the Nation like let it write from now till thy kingdom come, nobody is dumping any dollars. Nigerians I knoe will rather allow those currencies to decompose in their stash. We have seen a million of them times without number. 50 Likes 4 Shares |

Richtaiwo: Ogbeni, shut up. Nobody will praise your dull president for inflicting suffering to the people he pledged to preside over to make life easy to. The way the dollar was moving up, everyone predicted it will go beyond the limit. Coming down to N1,400 isn't enough. He should reduce it to the nearest minimum. Don't tell me that you're happy it's pegging at N1,400?🥺 153 Likes 5 Shares |
Re: Naira gain: Pressure Mounts On FX Hoarders To Sell Off Dollars by ivolt: 9:11am On Mar 24 |
Richtaiwo:That is not how it works. When the dollar was floated, it fell freely too fast due to the believe of many that a floated Naira will keep falling. Hence they bet against it. The CBN made a U-turn and fixed it. Along with crackdown on outside bank trades, it regained some value. Now nobody knows the "real" rate. Not the CBN and not the traders. If the traders sense that a CBN fixed rate is too low, they will start massive buying again and it will start rising again. 51 Likes 5 Shares |

Newswriter: Y do we Nigerians loves suffering and smiling, under the space of 6months the naira lost its value exponentially, none called for protest, none called for the head of the president or cbn governor. The yoruba were singing "God will make a way". The igbos were chanting "Nsogbo, Nsogbo". The hausa were trying to stay alive. The south south, full time bunkering. It's a pity 16 Likes 1 Share |

This must be a joke. Government of lies and propaganda. The elites, government and its appointees are the ones mopping up and hoarding the dollar because of their wicked intentions. 14 Likes 1 Share |

Nigerians are so stupid, how can you call it Dollar crash ? How much was Dollar to Naira just three months ago. So if they take Dollar to 5k now and after one month of complaining, they bring it down to 3k. You all will be rejoicing that dollar crashed Omo I hate the way many people are thinking. Dollar was about 700 before it went up and now it’s 1400 and I am hearing dollar crash dollar crash: 87 Likes 13 Shares |

JASONjnr: Piggies are as daft as a donkey, Buhari spent 8years and naira fell against the dollar by 350percent. Average of 43.75 yearly. Tinubu is just 10months with over 100percent lost of naira to dollars and some idiots are celebrating this meagre smoke and mirror, deceptive subsidizing of dollar. 12 Likes 1 Share |

Richtaiwo: who are these "enemies of Nigeria"? is it those who said they wanted to float the naira? has the same government who said it wanted to float the dollar and leave to market forces not reversed its decision and started defending the naira and regulating the price of the dollar? 18 Likes 2 Shares |
Re: Naira gain: Pressure Mounts On FX Hoarders To Sell Off Dollars by JuanDeDios: 11:29am On Mar 24 |
Islie:This is a useless call. Since the naira is gaining on its own, that trend will continue if the fundamentals behind it are real. This does not require any help for Oluwo or whoever. Besides, if the gains continue, that will on its own trigger a reaction from people, and those who can afford to sell will sell their fx, whatever Oluwo or anyone else says or doesn't say. 11 Likes |
