A disappointing 1st half.

Filled with unnecessary back passes. Playing with no recognized striker was a bad idea.

We've had no shot at goal all half and that's embarrassing.

The Malians are a well drilled team.

They played our tactics better.

They simply mirrored our style and gave us a thorough lesson on how to effectively do it.

High pressing, quick recovery, change of play, intricate passing, man-marking; the Malians have been great.

Moses Simon'd injury sadly seems to be serious. Ot however doesn't change the fact that he should have at least hit that ball on target. He got injured trying to overcompensate for his poor touch.

The midfield takes the major chunk of blame. They don't open up to receive passes from the defenders and drive forward with the ball.

The defenders back pass a lot because of how poor our midfielders have been.

The Malians has not been excellent either despite their good pressing game. Their goal was a gift.

If Ndidi decide to play, we will be back in the game.

nope thats his only outlier but he managed to qualify morocco for the world cup after many years. Besides he is better than most of the foreign coaches nigeria has hired.
