Gunmen Kidnap Scores Of Students In Delta State by ogododo: 11:25pm On Apr 01
Scores of tertiary institution students travelling on the East-West road in Ughelli, Delta, have been kidnapped by suspected armed bandits.

It was gathered that the students were returning from a trip in Calabar when the gunmen waylaid and seized their vehicle on the East-West road.

Although details of the abduction were still sketchy, sources revealed that the students were marched into the bush by the gun-wielding men.

The latest development came after several students of the University of Calabar (UNICAL) were abducted by armed bandits in Cross River.

Bright Edafe, Police spokesman in Delta confirmed the latest kidnapping in a post on Monday night.

Mr Edafe said the command was aware of the ‘ugly incident’, saying the police were doing everything possible to ensure the abducted students were rescued unhurt.

Sorry to sound like this in these troubling times for the parents, but I am suspecting that one amongst those students or someone close to those students they informed about their itinerary maybe the informant.
How else can it be explained that the bandits got to know when these students would be returning back and where to wait without fear of confrontation by security agents?
There definitely was some foreknowledge and planning involved to abduct that number of students.
Kidnapping is now a business venture,so many people, even those close to you that one may feel can't harm one or go to that extent may be involved, even if not directly.

Everybody in Nigeria now agrees on one clear fact. Buhari that was adjudged worst leader in Africa 10 months ago is now far more better than the clueless mandate thief. The feeling within every Nigerian now is that Nigeria doesn’t have a president

Bandit is the cliche word in Nigeria now for kidnapping related activities in Nigeria. Perhaps, it sounds cool to the editors. Lol

security operatives in Nigeria operate directly under the federal government with the president as their commander in chief. Let Tinubu do his job or resign.
