I'll just keep it short, I'm 28, I'm from a very bad family, dad's a deadbeat, siblings don't care about each other, mum's dead, I'm practically alone in life, I have rich relatives, some are abroad, but like I said, wickedness abounds and no one gives a damn about the other, including my siblings and my step siblings, my plan was to manage my life in Nigeria and make do with whatever I have, but it isn't going the way I want, I'm not earning as much as I want, I'm feeding but just averagely, there's no car, no cool apartment, no consistent income, I have two tech skills, UI and ux design, website design and a little bit of QA testing skills, and one two years diploma from a polytechnic, I have applied for so many remote jobs I didn't get due to competition and the fact that I'm in Nigeria, this and how empty my life is are the reasons I'm thinking of leaving, lastly I have sickle cell anemia, would it affect my plans to relocate, can I move with all these problems, how do I go about it.

First
you need to HEAL from these deep hurts and toxic background you came from

NEXT
you need to join a HUB or REMOTE COMMUNITY, so you can be recommended for jobs.

Third.... YOU NEED TO CHECK YOURSELF SPIRITUALLY and GET CLOSER TO GOD By being very prayerful... your story shows your heavens may be closed. You need spiritual help and growth too.

four.... You can go to Ghana with less than 300k... and you will live a better life there before you can relocate out of africa.

You are going to make it in life....

Honestly a lot of Nigerian men are deadbeats but absolutely no one seems to talk about this. You call your father a deadbeat but foolish idiots on the internet are ready to rip you off whereas the idiot has been completely useless.

Your best bet to go to america is to find an American and marry

The economy can actually make you a deadbeat dad even if you don't want to be dead beat

Lol this guy is a deadbeat because he chose to be, not the economy, he just believes in not training me, yet he expects money for upkeep from me because I'm almost 30 and have the guts to lament about it that at his age his children aren't feeding him, I dunno how to describe this to you.

before trying to japa to one of the most difficult country to enter, why dont you just move to easier place like Ghana etc? you gotta learn how to walk before thinking of running.
BTW if your life is empty in Nigeria, it will still be empty abroad.

Moving to a new country is not easy, and it's not a quick fix for problems. It's important to have solid plan and to consider all of the challenges that come with moving abroad.
Lower your expectations so that you don't get too disappointed. After all, the grass is not always greener on the other side.

Find your way into Europe instead. You might be able to get papers faster than in US.

You're right about remote jobs difficult to get from Nigeria, there's third world country stigma, unless you've worked with a very big company before. But it's not impossible! Don't stop trying.

Study route is the easiest to get out. Due to your condition, don't go to US. Health system is VERY expensive in the US. Even middle class citizens spend their life savings on chronic ailments. UK may be a better alternative.

Finland
Estonia
Germany
Other places in Europe too are great, especially eastern Europe or Scandinavian countries. Healthcare is generally good and more pocket friendly than US.
Having ND though, find advanced diploma courses in software dev/design for study route. At least one year study grants longer stay in most places.
If you land a remote job, go for tech nomad visa. A number of European countries grant nomad visas quickly.
Also Don't limit search to remote jobs, you can get visa sponsorship jobs direct from Nigeria in places like Germany, Bulgaria, UK, Spain, Netherlands, etc. (legit, not runs). Nigerians are in all those places, language is not a barrier!
Build a great LinkedIn profile and CV to reflect you have experience, and keep expanding your skillset. Take every opportunity to learn something related to dev/design and use GitHub when you can.

Never be idle if unemployed, keep building your skills and portfolio. One day, you will catch up with those in full employment now because the only difference is that your own experience would be in an informal setting.

Also, if you have family or friends who own small businesses (even if na shop), you can offer them cheap or even free web development services (if you're not busy). You will add up all these in your CV/portfolio as professional experience.

You can also think of app ideas. With your web and UI design skills (if you know some JavaScript), you will be able to handle mobile app Dev. Who knows whether that's how you are going to hammer!
