Do that guy call led Chino has anything good or engaging going on in his life except this. Let him be please. If you have anything to update post it and let him waste his time and data for fruitless effort. Next 15 years he will turn 65yrs and won't stop unless he's dead. Don't worry yourself about him. 🤣🤣

Chino actually fits you vagabonds. You remember you were the one that started this until you saw a senior madness 🤣. Because you are jobless and useless and miserable in life you have been doing this same thing for over 15yrs and in the next few years you shall be 68 and you won’t stop unless you are dead. Let the game continue until everyone finally gets commonsense

It's official IMO state has overtaken rivers and Anambra state and it's currently the 2nd most urbanized state in Nigeria
All thanks to rochas okorocha for owerri and orlu expansion.

it’s actually a progressive status for IMO

But on the other hand, Agriculture needs to be looked into .

Everywhere should not be built up.

Your are right
But for now
It's just 25% so nothing has spoilt, Tokyo, Osaka e.t.c has more than 60% being built up
So we can keep building more especially around okigwe axis build more, then use ohaji, nkor okapla for industrial purposes, owerri and oguta for tourism, Orlu axis is already on autopilot in terms of commerce, then the isi ala mbano and onuimo l.G.A can be used for agriculture, so there's still more than a enough land

I noticed that our boundary areas with Anambra and Abia is highly built up! It's a huge advantage for us

the issue here now is that those places do not have infrastructure.
They may be built-up but Imo state government needs to get infrastructure there

Your opinion doesn’t change the reality. Onitsha metropolitan area is the single largest city in igboland, even encyclopedia an international magazine recognized Onitsha as the largest in igboland. Your envy and bitterness cannot change the reality . Anambra is equally the most developed state in Igboland by far that’s why there are millions of imo indigenes living in Onitsha . These are verifiable facts

Abagworo:
Aba is the biggest city in Southeast but the biggest conurbation is the Orlu-Ihiala-Nnewi-Onitsha-Owerri conurbation that covers parts of Imo and Anambra. Aba is the biggest city in landmass and population but not built up. Obingwa alone is bigger than the entire Onitsha metropolis not to talk of Osisioma then Ugwunagbo. That is discounting Aba North and South, Isiala Ngwa North and South.

Enugu is the largest, followed by Aba

Onitsha is the largest followed by Enugu, Aba, Awka, Umuahia, Abakaliki and Owerri

According to Google maps extrapolation.

Owerri is bigger than Aba and Aba is bigger than Enugu.

I can show you proof

you could be right, these aren't static things. Owerri is growing faster than any Nigerian city and has been for a while so it makes sense

So with your input i would say

Owerri
Aba
Enugu
Onitsha

in that order.
Re: Few Pics From Imo State by Nedu05: 5:44pm On Apr 01, 2024
Onitsha metropolitan area is the largest in igboland. Onitsha had swallowed more than three local governments outside the original Onitsha.

Look at the ranking

1. Onitsha
2. Enugu
3. Aba
4. Awka
5. Owerri

Onitsha is the abroad of ndi imo state, that’s why most imo indigenes prefer to live in Onitsha and it is affecting the high cost of real estate now due to influx of population from imo state

Ofodirinwa:

but Onitsha can't grow any further, and arguably is about the same size as Obosi if not smaller.

You can't 'swallow' local governments lol. Look how you use hunger to reason

sorry. My mistake, owerri is larger than Enugu while Enugu is larger than Aba then Onitsha.

Look at the ranking of largest cities in igboland

1. Onitsha
2. Enugu
3. Aba
4. Awka
5. Owerri

Facts are superior to propaganda . Awka is by far larger than Owerri, but these guys use propaganda so much just like ndi Yoruba. Now internet has destroyed all their propaganda and lies . Ndi ala argue with google haha

Re: Few Pics From Imo State by Nedu05: 6:10pm On Apr 01, 2024
Useless miserable frustrated envious fellow. This is how hate and envy has clogged your head that you can never reason properly anymore. Onitsha is now a metropolitan city because it is now going into other local governments. Onitsha port is in Ogbaru but today all those areas are considered as Onitsha, that’s why it is called Onitsha port. Onitsha is expanding more into the fourth and fifth LGA.

Onitsha is the largest city in igboland. Encyclopedia confirmed it. Even Awka is four times bigger than Owerri but your lies and propaganda won’t allow you be rational.

Propaganda is the reason imo state is backward useless and worthless today but still yet you guys won’t learn

Abagworo:
That's how you keep deceiving yourself without learning. Whatever I write is factual not fiction cause I stand to gain nor lose anything by stating the truth. Try to visit Obingwa LGA in Abia State then drive through the numerous towns all the way to Akwaibom or visit Isialangwa and transverse the villages you'd understand how huge Aba city is. The issue is that it isn't built up but Ngwaland is almost as large as Lagos. Onitsha on the other hand has limited land and has reached her peak population. Even if you include other towns that urbanized near it they all combined are not up to the size of Obingwa. Do your research, learn and stop seeing everything as competition

You people should stop making baseless assertions on Nairaland.

The most popular states and cities of Nigeria are the fastest growing ones; these are Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt.

Nigerians and foreigners invest billions of naira in those places, their governments are doing relatively well, and their real estate industries are about to explode.

If you look at Google Earth, Everything from Asaba/Onitsha to Owerri has virtually become one city,
While Aba and Portharcourt will likely merge physically in the next 5-10 years. If Owerri and Aba grow into each other, most of the SE will functionally be one continuous urban amalgamation.

Uzodinma is very useless governor, I swear. Can you imaging the nonsensical tiny road this man is dualizing from Emekuku to Owerri mall?
That road cannot contain to kekes.

And mean while, control flyover is still audio. Nothing started yet
