Normally, it is the duty of police to do the investigation. |

This is exactly what I have been saaying. Institutions and agencies of government doing jobs that are outside of their constitutionally defined roles. It is not the job of the army in the first instance to go and mediate peace between the two warring communities, it simply led to disaster. Now the traditional ruler submitted himself to the police, the police instead of conducting their investigations, ignorantly handed the traditional ruler to the army. Thats very wrong. We have to start respecting and observing rule of law in all strata of our National lives. |

Aboks:It's just that Nigeria is a country that everything operates upside down. Ordinarily, the Nigerian Army should have nothing to do with internal security, their job is external security. In civilised countries, nobody sees the Army, they are not allowed to leave the Barrak, and when they do, they leave in civilian clothing. The only time you should see the Army is when Nigeria is at war with another country. Abroad, you could live next door to a General and not know he is a General. When I lived on the same street as a Major General, in Apapa, Lagos, the Army virtually took over the street because of one man. Whenever the man is coming or going to work, you would think it is the President moving. But we now have a situation where the Nigerian Army have virtually taken over the job of the Police. The Nigerian Army has no constitutional right to declare anyone wanted, they have no power to investigate anyone, they have no power to charge anyone to court. The Army is not a crime fighting organisation, that is not their training |

A lot of things are not meant to be in this country but our country is a hopeless one. The military is meant to collaborate with the police whose job is an internal affair but who is to speak out? |

Certain parts of this country are rejoicing over the illegality of the army. Good thing is, it always gets to them just like their choices in the past 9 years has been hurting them more than anybody else. Only thing they have to show is bragging rights for presidency while Fulani has overran their farms and kill their indigenes and hunger is dealing heavy blows on them |

The police of today don't even know left from right They arrested the suspects, and sent them to the Nigeria army To do what with the suspects Assuming they give up the ghost during military interrogation Another boko haram may emerged Simply because of this incompetency. |

The cp of delta state is incompetent to be a commissioner. Some police men were killed in the same area for weeks and the police authority did nothing about it until the army issue came up that was when the police authority started acting as if it just happens now.The igp and the cp is making the police lives not important. The police should stand on their ground to make sure army are return back to the barracks. Most of the insecurities is as a result of the money some of these security agents are making from it.We always want to be like a civilized country but we don't want to do the right thing.Army don't have any right to investigate something involving it men.It is the duty of the police to set up commission of inquiry to know what really really played out in delta and other states. |

Donedeal1:The police are not serious with the security of this country, how can police hand over a suspect to the military to do what.I know how the people of the region is looking at the issue. We don't want another armed group coming up because of the greediness of some police and military officers. |

The police handing over HRH is an indictment to the Police, and it also shows how useless this country is. When did military have authority to investigate murders? What a country. |

Story for the God. And you called yourself retired SAN so tell us the difference between police and army in this situation? Police can focus on those 4 police killed but for the 17 military killed the millitary will do their trial and sentence them accordingly. When you have kids and you refused to train him he will go out there and bring rain of evil and weeping upon your household. I can never support nonsense. I can not be so stupid to say because those cursed jihaddist animals in the North vowed to ruined their land and for that reason we in the South should likewise ruin our own land, no way its nott going to happen. And for those of you talking nonsense here go now and free those arrested and lets see. Motherfuckers bastards. |

gidgiddy:Like I told someone on another platform, Nigeria just choose to follow crude paths in all our dealings What's the essence of the police, dss, intelligence agency, nscdc if the army are the ones running investigation in the country The police are busy harassing young men while the army are doing their job |

BoblCrime scene was Ughelli. Not Abuja. Trial courts should be in Ughelli, not in Abuja. Fulani is using Abuja and the armed forces to rope in everyone to the most dysfunctional country called Nigeria which favours only Fulani. |
