i want a reputation of backwardness and intolerance?

that is an odd way of thinking. you are supposed to feel sorry for muslims, not aspire to be looked at like them . unless as an african you subscribe to the violence makes right philiosphy

I have no issues with how Muslims choose to hold on to their religion

I am simply asking that we all be given the same respect; There is nothing to be sorry for.

If you cannot crack a joke with Allah on it, don't do the same for Jesus or any other religion another person chooses

To be fair, the MD of NNPC has always maintained that the refineries are not there to reduce price. He said it will ensure availability and that's all. It's NLC and IPMAN that keeps selling the dream that price will reduce.

Hmmmm.

This country no dey understand person again. IPMAN and NLC kept speaking on behalf of the government and Dangote; instead make dem correct the wrong impression they allowed it to go on for as long as possible since it serves their agenda.

I sha know that when Dangote's PMS eventually hit the market people will see that they've been living a dream concerning reduction in pump price

Might be a little too late for that, it’s no longer lucrative, AI has relegated many writers.

Why is Anambra state 36 billion?

Maybe because most indigenes would rather learn a trade(which most of them are successful at ) than go through the formal education route to earn a living. So the state cut their budget to only cater for the few people interested in formal education

.....when i saw the FIRS stuff, I know its gonna cause kasala. If they use "our" instead of "your", it would have reduced the damage and make it appealing to the target audience.

We need to know the state total budget to know the percentage going for education.

I think u are missing the whole point of CAN's protest. CAN as a body understood the message FIRS was passing(which was a harmless one), but CAN is concerned that the message can be subject to different interpretations.

CAN also believe FIRS is a non-religious organization and should remain one by not involving itself in a matter that can be seen to offend the sensibilities of one religious group or another.

FIRS did really well with their apology with excerpt below and in my opinion that should be the end of the matter instead of trying to draw comparison between two religious group as to which is more tolerant.

FIRS, as a responsible agency, has no religion and will not bring down any religion or offend the sensibilities of adherents of various faiths in the country. Our goal is to assess, collect and account for revenue for the wellbeing of the Federation. We believe it is an investment in the progress of the country when citizens pay their taxes. Once again, we wish to apologise to CAN and Christians who felt offended at the unintended consequence of our message on Easter Sunday.

Okay.

If u would keep being like this by bringing unnecessary derailing to the thread (over issues we don't know and do not care about how it started elsewhere) ; I believe the regulars will do well to report ur posts as spam/derailment to the mods going forward.

There are no issues that happened out of this thread that I bring here. None, so this is a bare-faced lie. A stinking lie you cannot defend.

A troll is always coming here to harass and it is some of the regulars in here that eggs it on and hop on its mention. So why exactly should I not respond to them in here? Why do y'all not mass-report the posts for derailment so nobody ever sees them to engage with in the first place? That's surely possible since you want to be reporting my own posts for spams now.

When TemporaryHansel insulted me, did you say anything? That's a regular.

Anytime Seankafor attacks me, do you say anything? Another regular.

A40, another regular insulted me yesterday too. Ballzproblem2, sportsweb, GrammarNazi1, they all piled on his posts. Were you blind to that? Those are not regulars? It was not worthy of your attention?

Until it stopped recently Oyindamola, Glorious Gbola and akwese nana were always shading me too.

A OO1, Izzòu are also people I've disagreed with that it degenerated into insults. But that's well in the past. Are those the issues I brought over from other thread or you just love throwing words around?

Even Oasis and I have clashed once or twice.

Other than that troll that doxxed me, every other disagreements I've had in here have been with the regulars. I ask you again, why are you singling out my "beefs" as some special case? In fact, has this thread not been locked once? Was it because of me? Have mods not come here to indefinitely ban users and deleted posts that you'll see "yam ridges" from pages to pages? So why the fuçk are you making a mountain out of the molehill of my responses? You NEVER EVER EVER chip in your two cents the way you're doing now whenever other guys are going at each other's necks, so I know what you're doing now is just grandstanding at best and an attempt to paint me as a "villain." Because from where to where is "we'll be reporting you for spams" coming from?

That's literally my only issue with you. Comot your face and stop acting like heaven is falling or as if I'm going to destroy the thread if this is nothing personal to you.

Someone's child was literally doxxed right in here, but my offense is the greatest ever. Well done.

Hmmm.... That's one theory sha.

I guess we need to see their full budgets to know what is taking more allocation than education. For example we've once discussed how Obaseki didn't do much construction and the roads being in shambles. Maybe na this 2024 him day break and he decided to pump funds into capital road projects.

Soludo too has been talking tough on construction ; so he may be matching talk with allocation

Are you crazy? Please stop mentioning me.

What I said to you isn't an insult but a fact. I wanted to quote the post, but it seems it has been deleted by the mods. Let me repeat what I said , I believe your brain isn't mature enough to know when and where to post certain things, and you keep me proving me right with the kind of posts you've been making here since yesterday.

Trying to represent my "antics" as something that'll bring the thread down is akin to APC supporters trying to set up Obidients as being fascist insurrectionists who are as bad as they are. grin

I know I fight a lot o, I agree. And I am vile, yes. But it is of no greater consequence than the numerous fights in here where parents and families and lineages have taken a hit.

First a partner in Wole Olanipekun's chambers was charged with misconduct sometimes back and she had to quit the law profession sometimes around last year or two years ago if I remember correctly.

Now Wole Olanipekun's name is being enmeshed in bribe-giving allegations with an EFCC case.

https://www.nairaland.com/8050115/offem-uket-efcc-sacks-prosecutor

One may ask where is the connection in two cases; it may seem far fetched but the connection is right there. The first case was involving Sapiem Nigeria and Rivers state govt. The rivers state government alleged fraud to the tune of $130m on the part of Sapiem and the Case being handled by Henry Ajumogobia for Sapiem.

Now Wole Olanipekun's partner wrote a letter to Sapiem asking them to appoint them as the defence lawyer while discarding the services of Ajumogobia their current lawyer. Read carefully an excerpt of the letter

I believe that you need a more influential lawyer/law firm to prevent a potential huge payout to the Rivers State Government and without a doubt, I believe that my law firm, Wole Olanipekun & Co., can help in this regard

Ajumogobia was livid, he petitioned their professional body for this misconduct and Wole Olanipekun's partner took the fall for it (since she authored the letter) and her principal disowned her.

Now EFCC is claiming one of their prosecutors may have collected bribe from Wole Olanipekun (the defense lawyer on the Malabu oil scandal) to sabotage their case against the suspects.

Things dey happen for this country o.
