BTW, this is what the market is currently quoting for FX futures. Make of that information what you will.

Anyone can be a conspiracy theorist, at least you wont need data for it

No, it's a form of hedge. Just like a typical Non deliverable forward

Meaning if I think the rates will move further than 1367 in 3 months time. I can go into it. The counterparty will pay me the difference. Its a form of protection.

Conversely, if the rates is lower on the settlement date, I would be in a loss position and have to pay the difference to the counterparty.

My general point was that this is sort of like a sentiment as to where the FX is headed and largely reflective of it. Still not seen any data to support all the 2k plus doomsday hypothesis

I doubt the dollar is going to get to that all time high of 1900 in the near foreseeable future.

Which "they" though? Who are they, because I do not understand that use of pronouns.

Unless you just want to be dishonestly selective, there is only ONE person who has been coming in here to drag me. Posted my pictures repeatedly and even responded to a diary post I made elsewhere in here.

I reported the posts and and he came back to drop this comment garnering about 14 likes and 6 shares, mostly from the regulars in here I'm sure, so I guess you're right on that front, Ray Dick. Absolutely none of his (Fira09) antics would gain any traction here if people like Seankafor and other faceless swines weren't egging him on. You cannot expect me to keep quiet in the face of provocation.

Ballzproblem2, TemporaryHansel, WhoDeyHouse and some others intentionally quote my posts and set me up for bullying and you'll see some hoarde laughing and shit.

Abi you people don't talk about music in here? You never talk about women in here? Even though I jokingly posted about Simi and Tiwa's song, one ediot was telling me that I have an undeveloped brain for doing so. Unprovoked. Snide remarks here and there that none of you 'neutrals' deem it fit to speak on, but when I respond to them, oh, it's suddenly this thread is going to shit and you guys are dropping one or two zen quotes.

I felt the need to respond to this because I am in the "centre" of it. The only person trolling me is Fira09, importing his beefs here with me. Every other people I have an 'issue' with in here developed from squabbles over a discussion.

A40 too started going personal with me today. He did not have to say the words, but I did took offense at him implying that I dislike Odumodu because his lyrics are true about me "you people", "female nature." Again, nobody, including the Egbons like Ibime and Raumdeuter saw it right to set that straight. Which is fine. They are not obligated to, and I am not even saying all these to paint myself as a victim, but what I do not appreciate is when y'all now turn around to be dropping lines like these when I respond back. I mean, is all not fair in love and war? What exactly makes it so easy for them to go personal with me when they do not act like that with other guys?

At least with the very one time Nihilist jnr quoted me/I had a disagreement with him, he's really stuck to his "no fuçks given" lane. Even when Ibi.me disagrees with me, he never goes mud-slinging like these ones.

There's no egregious or outrageous opinions I share in here, even moreso than others, and so, even though I seem to be in the midst of some constant "fights", it is because THEY (they know themselves) have an ax to grind with me for whatever reason.

If it's not personal; then my reactions to the mockery and subs should not be seen as an "heaven is falling down" situation in this thread too.

kissThank you.
Thank God you know the whodeyhouse quoting you cause I can't honestly remember the last time I've either quoted your posts or been involved in ur business. Even as at last year when I usually do it's mostly playful jibes except shit gets serious same way I do to other monikers here, if you read it another way na you sabi cause I don't think I've ever gone personal on you on this thread. Maybe it's my recent feminists discourse with A40 that's triggering you.
So please and please I please need you to get my name out of your fvckin mouth hands.
Thank you.

I think if there would be any petroleum subsidy, I'ld rather the government deals directly and only with Dangote than any of those other refineries they claim to be refurbishing all the time.

For transparency purposes given that his books will be open and any form of corruption/fraud with subsidies will be minimal
Would only his refinery be able to handle it?

I never knew this. Writers still eat though. Maybe it is dependent on the genre.

Lol. That's not true in the slightest. I mean what that user said.

I am in many writers' communities, and people only still talk about AI takeover in mostly hypothetical situations, and concerns about it that may rise up.

BookTok is literally a big category on TikTok and even bookstores have sections dedicated to "TikTok Made Me Buy It". Debut books are being released every other day. And demand for content writers haven't dwindled too.

The only people I can see being impacted by AI in the now are graphic designers. During that AFCON, a lot of big social media accounts and cable TV handles on Twitter were all using AI-generated pictures. Even the Erisco man, it's mostly AI graphics that people are using to troll him.

No and Yes.

If we were talking strictly about subsidy, then we would be looking at Nigeria consumption which at 600k barrels per day, Dangote Refinery should be able to help

GloriousGbola, help me out here as I am largely quoting numbers from google.

The truth is there needs to be some level of subsidy/intervention to cushion the effects of all these reforms that seem to be taking place at once cos the masses are going to be severely affected.

The intervention however should be reasonably prized and not another avenue for corruption, otherwise, the purpose would have been defeated.

Make Adelabu give us light first. Light wasn't this worse under Buhari now. At least when people are seeing the light they are paying for, there won't be too much noise.

With this increase in tariff, just imagine those still on postpaid, them go just estimated billings choke them.

The Discos were suppose to meter everyone but they didn't so that they can continue to exploit consumers with estimated billings.

There needs to be a rejig in that sector. Most of their licenses shouldn't be renewed

One of the biggest mistakes by the Nigerian government was the manner in which the Electricity privatization took place.

Shoddy crooks being granted licenses when proper foreign investors with documented history also bid for it.

The crooks thought it was gonna be massively profitable without the requisite huge capital investment in it. Now most of them have been taken over by AMCON

.....if possible, they should revoke their licenses. They are not ready to serve stable electricity, they just wanna milk Nigerians, especially facilities without meters.

TCN must be sold too. You can't sell GenCo and DisCo but hold on to TCN.....why?! Privatize all.

That is a good place to start. Any useless or unproductive disco should have their license taken and handed over to those competent ones

Na only those wey get meter fit talk that pay as you use, for estimated billings, nepa bring any amount they like which are usually astronomical.

The light situation has been regressing badly since this administration started. It has nothing to do with dry season, in the words of Adelabu himself, he said its a gas issue.

Yes. Guess who was the executive chairman of NERC when the privatization took place? Sam Amadi. in his own words, they sold nepa assets to those without the prerequisite knowledge of the sector.

Guess who is good governance advocate today? Same Sam Amadi
