Even on NL, there are still comments about Obi when he was Governor where Igbos were saying that he was terrible and incompetent but all of a sudden he became a messiah the moment these same Igbos thought that he had a chance to become an Igbo president.

Yorubas are wolves simply because they refused to vote for a man without an ounce of qualification, and vote out a man with solid records?
You want them to vote for the guy who is not only unqualified for the job but has also over the years shown great disdain for the same people that he was asking to vote for him. I don't know any Igbo in their right mind who would vote for any Igboman who showed great disdain for the Igbo culture and way of life.

First thing first - The most tribalistic and religious fanatical tribe in Nigeria today is the IGBOS. No one is even close.

The Igbos see tribe and religion in everything. Think of anything and the Igbo is already seeing it from the prism of tribe and religion.
Yes, the North can react violently to religious issues but they do not look at every single issue from the perspectives of tribe and religion.

It's comical if not sad that the same people who voted for a candidate simply because he's Igbo and a Christian are the same people accusing others of exactly what they did. It's sad but laughable at the same time.

All my life in the US, I have had about 4 Igbo friends. From my experiences with them, it's so easy to see that everything to them has some element of tribal consideration. I can't even think of anything where they don't bring tribe into the equation. I asked one of them one day and his excuse was that the war is the reason why the Igbos are always thinking along tribal lines. (I didn't buy that excuse because tribal obsession is the reason why they went to war in the first place)

I had an experience that stuck with me till today. About 20 years ago I had an SUV that I had brought to Nigeria. The vehicle engine knocked after a couple of years and I was introduced to a guy (a young Igbo man) who was dealing in parts for the vehicle. He became my go-to guy for any parts for the vehicle because at that time Range was not as common as it is now. The parts were hard to come by.
The day I bought something from a Yoruba man for the Vehicle, the guy told me that I did that just because I wanted the Yoruba man to get a piece of the business and that I could have allowed him to supply everything. This was a guy who sold me 98 percent of all that I needed for the vehicle, I was just stunned. That moment stuck with me till today.
I have never met such a group of people in my life who are incapable of seeing issues from an objective perspective without bringing tribal and religious cacophony into it.
It's really sad and pathetic.
The Yorubas are the most accommodating of other tribes and all religions, The Yorubas are the most progressive. They are so progressive to a fault. The vast majority of Yorubas will not even think of your tribe in their dealings with you unless you bring it up.

No doubt Yoruba is the most accommodating, non religious but lately part of the ethnic concern group in Nigeria. This ethnic colouration was brought in by our politicians and that has sticked like gum to the psyche of our people.
Yes, no doubt an average Igbo man is very sentimental in ethnic concern, especially in their business and relationship but not religiously bias. If there is any group of people that attend religion groups that are not owned by Igbos, they are Igbos.
No going area, the Hausas are very much religion, ethnic and political conscious and bias. An average Hausa and Fulani man will first consider his tribe and religion man before any other tribe or religion.
Meanwhile, we have to give it to Igbos, politically they have been fair in their display. Since 2003, they have been voting non-Igbo man while their own man will be on the ballot. The records are there, except will just want to feign ignorant of it. When Ojukwu contested, they never gave him blocked votes but voted OBJ. Same way they votes Yar'Adua while Orji Kanu was on ballot. They voted Jonathan while madam due process was on ballot. Same with Onovo that is their son but they voted Buhari. It's only the first good time that Igbo rally round their son Obi. If I may ask you, should that now be a crime that they supported their son wholly for the first time in history? Politically they have been fair to support people outside. Just as I have said, they can be sentimental in areas of business and relationships but records shows they have been fairer politically.
Again, they are the only tribe that always shame their leaders when they misbehave and go astray while rest tribes pampers theirs.
You people should stop labelling Igbo wrongly politically. Since 1999 they have tried, except we want to tell bogus lie against them.

I have listened to Faye and Sowore speaking, there is no comparison.
Faye is articulate, intelligent and doesn't make unintelligent and unrealistic promises like Sowore.
Also, let's not forget that circumstances lead to Faye's election. The out going president made it easier for the opposition to win by making some very oppressive and damaging moves such as locking up opposition figures, trying to run for a 3rd term and by trying to postpone the elections.
