It should be for the poor, it should not be hijacked by civil servants and heads of ministries, it should be accessed by intelligent students, the criteria should be merits...the most brilliant students gets scholarships or bursaries/government loans first. This should not be another system where loans will be sold to highest bidder or most connected.

This is a game changer if properly implemented.

Universities across the country will benefit and they are incentivise to improve their infrastructure.

I would give special rates to medical students; All medical courses from dentistry to pharmacy, microbiology, etc.

I would also give special loan rates to courses in science and tech.

1% of annual FIRs revenue is quite small. I would prefer 3%.

This is commendable and we should praise good work just as we too often to criticise bad work.
