Eid Al-Fitr Set To Commence On Wednesday, As The Crescent Moon Has Not Been Observed.

The Shawwal crescent moon was not sighted on Ramadan 29, marking the end of the holy month. Eid Al-Fitr celebrations begin on Wednesday, April 10, with prayers held 15 minutes after sunrise, according to Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs.

The minister of Islamic Affairs in Riyadh has emphasized the importance of Eid Al-Fitr prayers being held at designated open prayer grounds and mosques, ensuring all necessary services are in place.

The event is considered a joyful and blessed occasion, as it marks the end of Ramadan and the start of the most celebratory Islamic calendar event.

Saudi Arabia's Supreme Court has called on Muslims to observe the Shawwal crescent moon on Ramadan 29, corresponding to April 8.

The event, which began on March 11, is celebrated with friends and family, and some families reserve istirahas for family gatherings. Ramadan began in Saudi Arabia on March 11.

There is nothing the sultan can do as regard this. The highest authority has spoken. What can change this announcement is when the moon is sighted here in Nigeria. In fact, if sighted here, the Saudi authority will be informed first and order will come from there.

It should be longer than 30 days till moon is seen.

If the moon is sighted, the eid will hold tomorrow. There's nothing like taking permission from Saudi

Nothing like that. Month can't be more than 29 or 30 days according to the Quran. In Islam, lunar month is used.
