Same thing here, bro.
Check if the phone is rooted/running custom rom. Whatsapp is against it as well.
My old huawei is running fine because it is running on stock rom.
Someone told me whatsapp is running riot on all huawei phones but I think that's not true or verified yet.
Try to flash the phone.

try unbanned it using the same phone and keep looking for solutions..

You can unbanned it within 24 hours or less.. With the same phone oo..

I think it has to do with the ban the company were subjected to by USA. If you check closely, Google apps especially Google map and play store doesn't work in most recent Huawei phones.

WhatsApp being a USA domiciled app is flagging it off if not downloaded directly from playstore. Anyway, log complaint to WhatsApp based on this and get to know their response

Honestly I thought I was the only one going through this harrowing experience.
I use a Huawei nova 7i, and whatsap just logged me out and prompted me to re-register. When I tried to, they kept on saying I'm using an unofficial app.
They said that I should download whatsap from the app store or from the link they provided, but It was the same story.
Sometimes they say my number could not be verified, try again in 1 hour. I even had to format my phone thinking that it would solve the problem but to no avail.

I'm totally frustrated with the situation

If I flash the phone can I solve this issue?

WhatsApp is a US company….if your device ID is huawei you’ll get banned cos Chinese phone makers like huawei are banned from using any US software or hardware export on their devices

Hi, I am a Huawei users and I use Nova y90. The problem is that you are using a virtual app like gspace or parallel space or any other space yo log on to WhatsApp. You must have downloaded the app from your virtual spacr app and also the virtual space is sending wrong device name to WhatsApp. This make WhatsApp to flag your account thinking you are a scam. Solution is to download your WhatsApp from apkure or let someone send his or her official WhatsApp to you, register with another number on same nova 7i. It will work. Your old number is now marked with your phone mac address at WhatsApp server so there is nothing you can do about it unless u use anothet number and this time, let someone send you apk

I think it has been fixed now. For two days now it's working no issue.

I'm also facing the same issues on my hauwei I think it's the device pandemic 4 numbers have been blocked and I got a new phone registered the same number it's working fine

I have already registered my other number after downloading the app from the app store. I could not however register my main line just like you have explained. I guess I will have to work on getting another phone to enable me to restore my backup and rejoin my various groups on WhatsApp.

It's nice I was able to explained. Hopefully others will learn. Using virtual space or gspace is the problem. If you own any HMS (Huawei mobile services) devices, don't use virtual space on WhatsApp. You will be flagged and banned for life for now.

I'm not the only one. My Huawei Nova 2s is having the same issue. My main number is banned and I registered my second number and it also got banned just a day after registering it
