That's what we are talking about. Kudos to cardi B.

Even it would have benefited me if the naira keeps losing value to dollars, but I am not Anti-Nigeria progress like some people who would rather cut their nose to spite their face all because their messiah lost the election.

Everyone have moved away from election yet you are the people that keep going back to it.. you people are just insane. So this is the new trend now .. maybe when next election u people will blame others for wishing bad on your president forgetting you are the person making the country look bad

Whatever they're doing, they should make sure it goes back to #216 to a dollar.

Tell us how you know they're subsidizing the dollar with our reserve. When it was being done by Emefiele, official price of dollar was around ₦465 while the black market rate was about ₦700. Now that the black market rate is even lower than the official price, how are they subsidizing it??

On Binance two days ago, it was around ₦1,058 when CBN was selling theirs for ₦1,101.

If you are not aware that the currency floatation policy has been reversed then you need to read the news more often.

CBN has gone back to defending the naira exactly as it was during Emefiele so with the righ policies I expect the exchange to keep falling and stabilize between N700 to N800 say by Q4

While fighting for the naira value please don't forget to ensure that the so called new notes are available for Nigerian, also ask emefuile where the notes are. If the new notes are available those rakecting and selling them out will be out of business. Cause I still don't understand why I'll be buying my own currency in my country. Mind you, the POS business you think is an empowerment was given birth to as a result of the failed banking system... Rubbish giving birth to nonsense.

The Naira is gaining momentum against the USD while Nigeria's foreign reserve is draining, we understand the game wink PBAT & his team are about crashing the economy because it's evident that the Naira is being heavily subsidized. The USD might bounce back to 2k + if the artificial growth of Naira is not stoped. CBN is clueless if not the Naira should have been pegged at 1K for now while the FG work effectively to bring back our refineries and fully diversify our economy grin

Chai, Tinubu about to finish foreign reserve to defend the Naira according to ipob miscreants. Na their way. Whenever they wish for something bad to happen to Nigeria and it goes the other way, they cook up some fairy tales and try pushing down your throats. They so much believe in their lies. They wished buhari dead, it didn't happen, they later said na jubrin from sudden. They wish Naira fall to N3000 to a dollar, it failed, they said it was being defended by foreign reserve.
Don't mind them jare!! Elementary Economics teaches that external reserves is basically used for cushioning the impact on our currencies. It's not our of place, it actually in place. That's exactly what it should be used for.

We told them floating naira with the current indices cannot work, they still went back to defending naira.
All i have to say is that these Lagos boys should understand that nigeria economy is not a private Enterprise where you wake up and take a decision based on your emotion. Due consultation with stake holders and experienced people in that niche is very important. We don't need unnecessary propaganda just get to work!!!
Who are the experience people in the niche? For good 16 years of PDP, they used ur Messiahs Okwonjo Iweala, Soludo, Sanusi, Emefiele etc, what was the result? Was it not "economics of defending the naira" that they were doing with our booming oil money? What special thing did they do to set Nigeria on liberation path? They all left Nigeria with great debt, corruption, battered currency and consumption status. Won't you hail someone who has taken an unpopular path and gradually getting it? Fuullss

That's the work of the external reserves, to cushion impacts on the local currency. Nigerians are the enemies of Nigeria. Hoarding dollars for gain not minding the impact on the economy. It should be cushioned up to the point that the heavy need for forex in the importation of fossil fuels subsides.

how much dollars was in the economy at the time of the hoarding?

how much dollars was hoarded to the point that it sent the price of dollars out of control?

since you say hoarding was "one of it", what are the other reasons?

Last year I told an obidient that there was an economic caucus from the sw in diaspora who vowed to support BAT to run down the Aboki speculators and BDC!

After which they will bring their own dollar to control the economy! The obidient was just arguing like a parrot, how can someone be so gloatful about the fall of his own country!

Today the guy is not buckling up on his job and he's probably not prepared to make good use of the improved economy!

Such is the result of having bad wishes for others! As for me, I will continue to pray for the economy and president to succeed so I can make good sales at my car shop!

I sell brand new cars mostly Toyota saloons & SUV.

God bless Nigeria

First things first, they have abandoned the naira floatation and reverted to using dollar from the foreign reserves to subsidise dollar rates to BDCs.

If you have no proof, please keep quiet. Present evidence and I will believe.

Am aware there are multi-approach employed to tackle the issue! Which is good.

What you are aware of is not the only strategy been used, Tinubu is working and attacking the economy and the enemies of economy at all sides. Same with Petrol, diesel, foodstuff and transportation.
