if they say holiday prevents them from making more money for their pockets, how is that the same as affecting productivity of the entire country?

how does 3 days holiday affect Nigeria's productivity?

The country doesn’t produce anything other than petroleum. We import everything. A full lockdown like 2020’s won’t change our situation in any way. Let people relax at home.
Re: Nigerians Criticise FG Over Public Holiday Extension by olayinka63: 9:54am On Apr 11, 2024
There are many better economy than us with more public holidays. Shut up, these there days is not encroaching on our productivity. Poor productivity is due to corruption in every sector. Do your work honestly and sincerely, productivity will increase.
Re: Nigerians Criticise FG Over Public Holiday Extension by kolaaderin: 9:58am On Apr 11, 2024
Public holiday is optional to productivity, you want to continue to run during public holiday, it not a crime and no government will shot down your business for it, all you need to do is give incentive to workers on the free days and see them reporting to work in full force as it's done in sane climate.
But no, employers want to continue to extort workers like slaves reporting to work during public holiday for the month end peanut.

Since you claim you can feed me and my small family then that is no problem, however I can at least feed myself and my small family but I will have to save your number for future references. I will sincerely need you to help feed either one or any number of people you choose to help me feed. Please keep my Monica in your mind as I wouldn't want to prolong my introduction when the time comes.
I will also keep you in my prayers for you to land a better gig.

I guess if this Holiday we are talking about is because it was declared for the Muslims that's why we have this useless thread.

In the wake of COVID 19, when we have total global lockdown can we deny the facts that the economy saw a massive boost. A good evidence was the government revenue which failed it's target by few billions despite large government waivers that year.
Massive boosts indeed thanks to the oil workers that stayed months offshore during covid to keep the country afloat. It is foolishness to assume people sleep their way into prosperity.

If you are not okay with the holidays kindly shut up! I am happy spending Time visiting friends and loved ones.

People like unnecessary complaints if the government is not doing well they grumble. If they are not satisfied with the government let them go and work 24hrs that's their problem

It's been happening over the years. We sleep and rest too much in Nigeria. No nation progresses when EVERYONE goes to sleep at night.

Work has to continue in the night. This is how countries grow. But Nigeria no. Sleep and many public holidays. Oil money dey. Nonsense.
