Normally, as one harvest is consumed and planting season approaches, supply dwindles and demand surges(due to seedlings) leading to higher prices. That will be the new excuse to justify greed at personal level. Funny thing is, the effect of the increase will surely spillover into the harvest of the approaching planting season. If the madness persist long enough, demand for forex with which food can be imported surges again, wiping away recent gains of the naira. |
