I told my fiancee that we needed to discuss finances before marriage as that's one of the issues many couple face in marriage.

So I told her I'll do major of the responsibilities and would like to know what her input would be.

She responded by saying she's only meant to support and a fixed role shouldn't be assigned to her that it's only when I'm not capable of doing something that she would assist .

So I need inputs from experienced married people.

I'm not married yet; but please please and please.

HAVE THAT DISCUSSION....while whatever you guys decide on shouldn't be A DECREE, but it should help you understand the "financial literacy and monetary flexibility" of your partner.

I don't know the kind of woman she is especially with money but what I can say is that,make sure ur wife to be is working and money discussion should be uppermost in ur home.

Yes it's an important discussion to have before marriage.

Also make sure you don't marry a person who is already heavily in debt and is not able to repay the debt
