Thank you very much for your swift response… pls, where should I address the letter to ? Thank you

Is she planning to apply for a visa or she's still looking for a school?

If she has gotten admission to school, then address the letter to the embassy.

The passport was sent to Canada embassy in Yaounde, Cameroon for stamping.
So, IRCC, Yaounde has joined the offices stamping Nigerian passports? Na wah oo. The other day it was Nairobi. Or could it be that its in transit to Nairobi?

Most of the time, the offices or locations where applications are processed are different from the offices or locations where visas are issued.

If you check the IRCC website, it is stated there that "visitor visa applications from Nigeria are processed in Nairobi." This doesn't mean that the visa will be issued in Nairobi. As a matter of fact, most visas processed for Nigerian applicants in Nairobi are issued in Lagos or Abuja.

The processing office for visitor visa applications for Nigerian applicants is the IRCC Nairobi office, but the visas are mostly issued at the Lagor or Abuja IRCC offices, and some are issued outside Nigeria.

My nephew's visa was processed in Nairobi last year, but on the visa vigilante, it shows that the visa was issued at IRCC Bamako office. He doesn’t even notice this until recently.

Anyway, the processing location, or where the visa is issued, is irrelevant to applicants. What an applicant cares about is the positive results—that his or her visa has been approved and issued.

Let IRCC issues the visa. No one care about the location or locations where the visas are processed or issued.

Congratulations to your Mum.
All this within two weeks instead of five months that it takes to get a decision ?

Noted. I really do not care where visa is approved or issued too. I only wonder why locations are always different, instead of Nigeria's office only. The Bamako that you also mentioned in your comment suggests to me that the list of IRCC's offices handling Nigerian visa applications may be endless. I remember accra too in 2016 when my cousin was going to study in Canada.

Anyway, they understand better.

I really doubt that because a lot of people in this forum have been on queue since last 5 or 6 months.

Yes there are people that applied January and haven’t gotten response yet . processing time didn’t change , everyone is still on queue . It’s just a matter of Grace and other factors concerning the application that makes it look like it was fast

Ircc are responding but I think the rate at which they are refusing applications is much than approval
And people are not coming to share because of the rejection
God will show us favour no matter what
We all will be granted access in Jesus name

I don’t know where you got that your information from, but the truth is that majority of those who applied late last year (November and December) and this year are still waiting for decisions.

These are the categories of people who are getting faster processing time:

- Those that have valid US visa when their applications were submitted.

-Those that applied before their current Canada visa expired.

- Those who have children in Canada, and their children invited them.

Some other people maybe lucky too, but just only few applicants.

Apart from the above, majority of applicants who applied in November 2023, December 2023, and January 2024 to date are still waiting for decisions.
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by meljoe: 2:03pm On Apr 16
Please those that just submitted recently , how much is the total application fee and any other fee that was paid ? When I did for mine and my kids last year , exchange rate was not this high
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Doublej805: 2:54pm On Apr 16
We are saying the same thing somehow, and this is an individual difference, from my end no body that applied January 2024 that hasn't gotten decision...

Good day everyone. Please I need help here. My husband in the US applied for canada visit visa as a family for us. I'm in Nigeria with my child though. I've done my biometrics since April 3rd and it's still showing in the application portal that I'm yet to do my biometrics and my husband did his own over there in the US yesterday and they updated it immediately. Please what should I do? I visited the VFS office today and they said my biometric is successful that maybe they're working on it. Please is there anything else I'm not getting right?

You don't need to do anything. Most times they don't update those things on time. My mum got her visa approved and her portal was still showing that biometrics not completed.

Good evening sir/maa
Please I need ur advice on my application
On Nov 2021, I applied for Canada visitors visa and it was refused on June 2023.
Reason: debt to the crown, from my findings the agent that handle d application did not pay the application fee. So have paid the fee (185canadian dollars) for d debt to the crown and it was confirmed by IRCC.
On Sept 2023, I applied for anoda visitors(2ND) visa but it was also refused on Feb 27th 2024.

Reason: you are not truthful filled the form given to u. So I ordered for GCMS NOTE
BASED ON MY 2ND APPLICATION TO KNOW THE REASON IN DETAILS, THE GCMS NOTE CAME TODAY AFTER READING TRU IT DIS IS WOT I FIND OUT

I HAVE REVIEWED THE APPLICATION. I AM NOT SATISFIED THAT THE APPLICANT HAS BEEN TRUTHFUL IN THE DOCUMENTS AND ANSWERS SUBMITTED IN SUPPORT OF THE APPLICATION, AS REQUIRED BY SUBSECTION 16(1) OF THE ACT. SPECIFICALLY, I AM NOT SATISFIED THAT D FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS TRUTHFUL: FAILED TO DECLARE PREVIOUS MISREPRESENTATION.
FOR DIS REASON I HAVE REFUSED THIS APPLICATION
PLS,MY QUESTION IS THAT SHOULD I STILL NEED TO ORDER FOR ANODA GCMS NOTE FOR MY 1ST VISTORS APPLICATION B4 I APPLY FOR THE NEW ONE AND IF I ORDER FOR IT AND I FIND OUT THAT THE INFORMATION IS DIFFER HOW SHOULD I GO ABT IT WEN APPLY FOR THE NEW APPLICATION OR SHOULD I JUST STICK TO THE INFO ON MY 2ND APPLICATION TO APPLY FOR THE NEW ONE AND WRITE A LETTER TO SUPPORT IT.
NOTE : MY 2ND APPLICATION WAS ANDLE BY ME.
PLEASE I NEED MORE CLARIFICATION ON THIS ISSUE.
Thanks.

Experts in the house, please help,
I am trying to book an appointment for biometric capturing at vfs Lagos, but I can't proceed now because I am being asked for IRCC no.

Where will I get IRCC number, as it is a mandatory field in the form.

Thanks.
