Bag of rice was 51k yesterday. Ifo, Ogun state.
Although I bought from smugglers, price may be slightly different from market price.

Ifo is a popular place. Foodstuffs are always cheaper there especially on market days.
You don't need help actually.

yes I know of its popularity. However, I'm concerned about the distance
as I am in Agbara area. I am thinking of getting assistance to purchase
and waybill if possible.
also, I wouldn't mind buying from smugglers too; as it would be cheaper than
than the market price, however, I really don't know any in that area; hence
why I need your help.
anyway, if it is inconvenient for you, no qualms at all chief.

If someone agrees to help you buy, and custom eventually seize the rice on their to waybill it to you. You will start calling the person a scammer. Shebi

if your statement had come as a question, i would have simply said 'No', with
the view that you are being polite and looking out for me. However, it's more of
an assertion, as though you are confident that's what I'm gonna do; as though
you want to cause a collision between I and the man. please, let the
person I directed my plead and request to respond. His 'NO' or 'YES' will suffice.
except you are willing to help me with the quest yourself. meanwhile, please
note that I'm very familiar with smuggling activities.

From what the guy said, you don't need help honestly. If I wanted to buy market from such place what I would ask for is the market days and the particular market that's all.
You would surely get vehicle for waybilling there.
But it depends on the quantity you want to buy. If it's not a large quantity ill expect you to buy from Lagos market. Some people say you can get rice for ₦63k in some market in Lagos.
But you staying agbara, you should be the one giving us updated, agbara is close to badagry that has a border with benin. Affordable rice should hit agbara market first!
I don't think you've done your findings.

My family is yet to buy rice because our supplier refused to stock up fearing that price may suddenly fall further.

The one that was selling for ₦85k is currently ₦67k.

BTW, I eat either Basmalti (More expensive) of Long grain.

Heard short grains are cheaper. (Currently ₦57k)

The last time I bought from Seme, i remember the stress involved to bypass the customs
right from the boarder to the last check point in AGBARA. I simply wanted to
know if the stress is lesser in his own side, and perhaps give it a try.

You clearly saw where i said "if it is not convenient for him, then there is no qualms".
At least before embarking on something, you will weigh your options!(from his comment
i have seen that i may have options to explore) is that not?
then, in the process of we talking, that is when I will know the number of checkpoints from
his place to Agbara, compare it with Seme which i am familiar with and of course employ cost
benefit analysis and settle for the one with lesser risk.

well i have a sure plug in Seme, i only want to explore other lesser-risk means. By the way
i can give you updates, that is not an issue.

Lol. Actually, the smugglers I bought from had no risk involved. They have a base in Ifo where they converge and you'll buy from them. Two problems involved; 1) They are very conscious of whom they sell to. (I've been buying from them since 2019, hence they know I'm not a spy. 2) Unless you know who's who, you may end up buying from a reseller which would be definitely costlier than the original price. That's that.
Best way to move your item is to repackage them which people are readily available to help out with but it's advisable you get a garri bag to repackage the rice considering that your location is far away Agbara. For me, I'm mobile and I stay within Ifo which makes it easier to move the rice to my house without risk.
By the way, like someone up there said; Agbara is an hotspot for smugglers just as Ifo.
You should look around for the dealers
