I just bought a Toyota Camry (tiny light) from someone. He advised i should change the transmission oil to a popular oil because the oil inside isn't that popular in the market after he changed the gear box. Is it necessary to change it as advised??

The right oil in there should be original Toyota type t-iv

My mechanic serviced my Toyota highlander 2005 4 cylinders Gear box with Oando Dexron II three months ago.Yesterday I went to work on my brake,I changed the master brake.On my way back I discovered that the transmission was not changing especially when i got to a hilly road.aI had to manage the car till I got home.What could be the problem and please what do I do?

I just discovered that when my car is about changing gear the car surge forward, what could be the problem please. I just bought the gear box this January.

Pls what gear fluid should I use for Toyota corolla 2009 auto transmission? A first time car owner here and the gear selection has been acting up lately, it works sometimes and other times will only allow me change gear (I mean move from P to D) if I press the over ride button.

My Mechanic changed my gear oil for acura mdx 2013 last month. Coming back from work and i noticed the transmission struggling. The car sputtered before i could reach house. The roadside mechanic thought it was fuel pump but changing it didnt help. My mechanic later came and discovered that a hose to the injector had turn off and the engine seat is bad. He taped it off and managed the car to his shop. Both engine seat and hose has been changed but transmission still struggles and the car is now lighted up like xmas tree

I asked the mechanic( who worked on my previous car for 4 years without issues) what oil he used. He said T-iv. Could this be responsible for the issue? The check engine and transmission light came up after the fix he did and the D light is blinking.

Nawa o. Drain the oil and buy ho fa gear oil. Check manual.
