This should clear the doubts of all especially the mummified zombies hailing a government that have destroyed every progress that this nation has ever made including the economy.

It's expected to fall after we devalued our currency twice.

I will love to see the GDP in naira for the last 15 years.

Egypt was ahead of south Africa before, but after devaluing their currency, the SA took over the Egyptian position

The exchange rate during Jonathan tenure is not up to 300/$

Under Buhari it was not up to 500/$

But now, it's about 1100/$

If the naira can get to the level it was under Jonathan, we will overtake Algeria, Egypt and South Africa.

In 2022 our GDP was N202.4 trillion

In 2023 it was N234.4 trillion

It's projected to hit N296.4 trillion this year.

Racoon:
Is the nation's economic bench mark in naira or dollar?
So the NBS do release GDP figures in US dollar?

The APC gate crashing into our national life is the most unfortunate political incident that have ever befell this nation.

Is the nation's economic bench mark in naira or dollar? Always rationalising cluelessness, ineptitude and Incompetency. Guess the naira has gained, so why is every economic indices not speaking well for the nation? Simple reason is the lack of economic intelligence of those managing the economy

The economy is not sentimental, and for every poor political decision Nigerians make, there will be an equal or exponential economic reaction.

When we WAILED about President Buhari's absent WAEC certificate, his camp responded by saying “Even if he shows us a NEPA bill, we’ll still vote for him.” The economic reaction to this was two recessions and 18.8 million people losing their jobs.

When we WAILED about Chief Tinubu's absent WAEC certificate and questionable educational background, his camp responded by saying “E mi lokan - he has been preparing to be President for 30 years and is the most prepared candidate.” The economic reaction to this was a 50% loss in Nigeria's GDP and 60 million Nigerians driven into multi-dimensional poverty.

There is still more to come from the illegitimate president, as there are 7 more years to go, after which there will be 8 years of the boko haram sympathizer, followed by another 8 years of Tinubu's wayward son, Seyi.

It is now obvious that Nigeria started getting it wrong after the 2015 general elections.
OBJ, Yaradua & GEJ really meant well for this country but these "Broom people" came into the picture after selling their propaganda to their zombies who don't know how to "think".

Now look at the country, Cameroonians & co. now come to Lagos with few CFA notes & start living like kings here in Nigeria after changing it to Naira due to the current NR:CFR exchange rate.
Meanwhile back in 2009,during my service year, i traveled to cotonou with N50k & spent 3 weeks lodging in a nice hotel, eating good foods and buying some stuff on my way back to naija because N1 was equivalent to 242 CFA
We really deserve the type of leaders we have...

I've really lost it when it comes to G.D.P and economic rate in this part of the country i belong. Is it the monopoly of the privileged elites, or the economy controlled by political gladiators, juggernaut from self centered business moguls and many others. If these fortune is evenly distributed among the masses and various economic sector are to the see the light of the day. Our position on that list will be 1st and the second sent to oblivion

we achieve a new low everyday

All of a sudden when the picture became clearer, they stopped blaming 16yrs of PDP. They now blame each other.. 🤔🤔

APC's agenda was to 'come and take their own' after they felt PDP had taken theirs. That's a very bad template of governance.
The agenda wasn't to better the lives of citizenry.. You don't come to governance with a revenge mindset.. You come to governance to contribute your quota to making the Country greater.. simple Patriotism demands that.

PDP as irresponsible as they were, now made to look like saints.. The Change Apostles scammed us all and posterity would remember. I hope a lesson or two have been bitterly learnt tho..🤔🤔

Make it clear that these figures for BAT government are mere projections

Same way people projected the $ would exchange for N2k before April 2024

Buhari borrowed away the present & future generations of Nigerians.
Tinubu is really trying to navigate & steady the ship Buhari wrecked.
Buhari totally destroyed Nigeria with senseless borrowing, looting & massive embezzlement of the country's resources

Yorubas are not so good in managing the economy. They are good in certain areas such as legal matters, activism, musical arts, etc but not in trade and economic matters. Igbos are the best in trade and economic matters. If Nigeria wants to maximize it's potentials, then they must study each tribe and group and focus on exploiting the best in them.

Obasanjo and Goodluck's regimes flourished economically because they made Igbo technocrats the pillars of their regimes' economic team and policy formations.

undecided
Jonathan was a puppet. He didn't do anything special. He met a very robust Obj era economy. I don't rate him atal. He shud have tried all possible best to ensure pdp remained in power. An hausa or Yoruba president at that time will never relinquish power in such way. This is Africa!! Maximum respect to Obj.

APC saw Jona to be a weak vessel and used propaganda to destroy him. Nonsense.
