NB* : This thread isn't created for banter or insults, but just to register my disagreement to the other thread.

For those who are busy and multitasking on a job, VN is actually a very important means to send a message across without having to edit, delete and do all that, when you can just open a voice record and say what you need to say and send.

And then if I need to communicate my feeling to the receiver at the other end, VN is the best tool.
Not to mention those who might have lost a limb, how do you expect them to type a lengthy message?.

I so much believe that VN on any platform is a very good invention.

I agree to this.
My reasons are this.
1 it's save time compared to typing.
2 it's fast and efficient.
3 it helps to tell the mood the person you are talking with.
4 it's better understand due to the fact that you can hear the persons tune.
5 You can easily tell if you the person is being rude, or respectful by the manner which the person talks. E.t.c

do you some of us actually hate VN. our eyes and mind reads faster than listening. i prefer to read msg. long VN IS A NO NO FOR ME. INFACT I WONT READ YOUR MSG until m free. i will now change it to 1.5x[right][/right]

Both the guy who said it was the worst and the one who said it's the best, are taking things too far. If WhatsApp Voice Note is the best invention of all time, then what will we call the Internet which made it possible for W.V.N to function?

Honestly, it has save alot of typings.
Do you think it's everything you can type and the receiver will understand it better. Take a look of trying to explain a mathematical concept to someone. Will typing help? Voice note will do the job.

Lolz, i was taken aback by the myopic and limited thinking and responses on the other thread. Well, maybe they are of the idea and background that voice note takes more data, or they have network issues downloading voice notes. Voice notes are a norm in developed nations and in standard work environments. Nigerians are still backwardly struggling to terms with the formality, i understand that. They believe you are not serious if you don't make a GSM call or write them on a letter head.

Nice response. The other thread was almost blaming people for choosing to use voice note

If you're not comfortable with VN, just tell the person. That does not mean many people don't find it useful, myself inclusive

I personally don't like it.

- Sometimes, I like to reply messages without having to come online.
- I can stand a 20-30 seconds voicenote, but listening to a 2mins VN annoys me.
- With the speaker in my ear, I find myself responding only to quick realise that I'm speaking to a recorded voice

Yes.

It does help to determine paternity fraud many times. I'm talking from experience so nobody should argue with me.

Although I hardly ever use the WhatsApp VN but I respect people who do.

For those who can not read & write fluently, Voice Note is a life saver.
