Peter Obi is a man of vision. This is one of the many schools built and commissioned by Peter Obi.

Dear @IamThatNaijaGuy

I can only conclude that you were born on the day lies were created otherwise you wouldn't have resorted to this brazen lie just to force people to accept that Peter Obi built new schools in Anambra State. Peter Obi himself has responded to @renoomokri and confirmed that he didn't build any new school.

This school you showed is the Regina Pacis Model Secondary School in Onitsha. It is a missionary school for girls only, owned by the Catholic Archdiocese of Onitsha with Most Revd. Valerian Okeke (Metropolitan Archbishop of Onitsha) serving as the Proprietor.

Contrary to what you want people to believe, Regina Pacis was established in 1986 by the Christian Welfare Association of Onitsha Archdiocese.

Peter Obi did not build the school not to talk of commissioning it. In fact as far back as 2011, the school fees per term in this school is over N100,000. This was just a year into Obi's second term. So, Regina Pacis is not an ordinary school. If Obi donated his usual N1 million to the school, how does that translate to building the school?

The Catholic Church is known for establishing good schools and managing them well. Their sources of funding always range from high school fees they charge, donations from church members, funding from the education directorate of the various dioceses, alumni, and once in a blue moon government donation.

So, don't give glory to Peter Obi over what he did not dream of doing. The last thing Peter Obi would do is to build this type of model school from scratch. The highest thing Obi did for mission schools was officially handing the school over to the church (an Ngige plan by the way). Mind you, even before then it's not all mission schools that were under government management such as Bishop Crowther in Awka.

He then donated an 18-seater bus and a couple of computers from HP to the school. One of the things you'll never see Obi do is spending money to landscape a school with gardens, trees etc. He is a minimalist.

Meanwhile ndi Anambra most times do not wait for government to do stuffs for them especially when it comes to education. PTA levies are used by many public schools to build classroom blocks, school halls, staff room, employ additional teachers, etc. Even alumni of schools chip in with one project or the other occasionally.

So, in Anambra State you'll see great schools that have been thriving in spite of inadequate government support. It is criminal for one former governor to lay claim to transforming education in Anambra State. If you must lie, lie with the fear of God.

I like this quote, "if you start with a lie, you will continue to tell more lies to cover the previous lies, until the truth emerge that you are a liar".

Pitobi and his unintelligent followers have been lying all along. We are almost getting to the point where the truth that they are liars will soon surface.

Another day, and begining from 1200hour, another time for Tinubu apologists, Agbadorians, and Bulabans to flood the social media spaces and Nairaland with Peter Obi contents.

In this Tinubu calamitous era, Tinubu, their drug lord is bad content, while Peter Obi is providing great content for them to cash out.

God bless Peter Obi.

Obidients find comfort in lying. If they tell you good morning, abeg check outside, e fit be night.

Same way @LagosOwerrifirstson as been trying hard to pass off those girls that won the national IT competition as Peter Obi's legacy.

Those girls were also from a private school i.e. Saint John Vianney Science School, which is also owned by a Catholic church, whose director is: Father Emmanuel Chibuzor Obimma a.k.a Ebube Muonso. Yes, the same father that said on a church ground that 1 Ibo man equals 500 Hausa men.

Supporters of BAT, or even Mikano Boys, would not stoop so low and start deceive us by posting achievements of private schools in Lagos and Adamawa as legacies of Tinubu's and Atiku's respectively. cheesy

It is very funny when people think they can escape poverty through corruption. May the escape be temporary and may God punish corrupt people with more poverty. They will go back to square one and share accommodation with rodents Insha Allah

We igbos don't wait for government to provide, we create and develop and get what we want

Except it's government owned

Remember when we wanted to build my village road, the then state government gave a warning that anyone that touches the road, will be prosecuted

Nobody lied to you ...

You're the one ignorant of how Anambra primary & Secondary schools systems work.

This same Regina Pacis was one of the many schools returned to the Catholic Church alone during Peter Obi's tenure after a massive infrastructural upgrade.

Read what the Catholic proprietor of the school said about Obi many years after Obi had left office.

First of, the poster lied because he claimed Obi built the school. Secondly, This very school was not among those returned by Obi, although he may have given some donations to the school. Then Importantly, Obi was not the first governor to return mission schools neither will he be the last, Tinubu, Fashola, Aregbesola, Elrufai did same, why so much hero worshiping over returning the properties of the owners to them.

I can't understand how people credit one man over the effort of the churches that own and run the schools. The girl with the highest score in JAMB last year was a product of Deeper Life School yet they say it was Obi's legacy like wtf!

Stop saying what you don't know. Regina pacis formerly known as social center was one of the school returned to Catholic church by Mr Peter obi. When I was a still a student at Onitsha, that school was one the lowest ranked school . It was a school for house helps. If you have a girlfriend in that school u won't be proud to say it. That is the school everybody is celebrating now. It was obi that turn around their story.

If the school was charging 100,000 per term as at 2011, then at what point did Obi handed back the school?. And how could such a school with that amount of tuition be described as lowly rated as you did?

Oga, who told you Regina Pacis was not among the 1,040 schools he returned?

Again, if other governors did the same thing Obi did, why were they unable to achieve similar results as Anambra? Why did Obi spring surprises by surpassing all of them from number 26 to number 1?

Let me bless you with pictures of Obi at Regina Pacis

Please quote and explain to us how you could afford the lifestyle you currently live. How did you make the money you used to buy US and UK houses and a fleet of classic cars, marry a foreign wife, and sustain a family abroad? The only known history of your employment is being a former aide to the former vice president AA and President Jo. Let's peg your salary in those positions to N250,000 per month. Multiplying N250,000x12X16 years gives N48,000,000. N48,000,000 is not enough to buy one of the classic cars you flaunted on you FB page some time ago. Are you a covert public funds looter deceiving your followers as a righteous pastor? Please kindly elaborate on these as you usually do.

Argumentum ad hominem, attacking the person instead of the message or argument.

What you did is called a fallacy, an error in reasoning but I doubt you'll understand that. If you truly attended one of those schools you claim Obi built maybe you'd have been taught.

That's what I'm saying

Renovate it, equip them to the highest standards, subsidize the fees and fund the schools

Most catholic churches / missionaries in anambra has schools why build another when the ones available are enough... too many schools and all

Makes it difficult for the government to manage on its own knowing how nonchalant the agencies perform their duties but private sector can do the needful and still report to you

That's why educational system in anambra has been improving yearly

If the Rev father said such thing about Hausa people and he also established the school whose students won an international award, then one can say he is an astute and intelligent man.
In that case what he said about hausas is not far from the truth, such people don't just open their mouth and speak anyhow.
Thank God you have confirmed that he owns such high flying school, we must take his words very serious because he is an asset to this country.

This is a contradiction, the poster says it is a highly rated school paying 100k per term as at then, even with the structure it is clear that you are lying about the school being for houses girls.
Pls note that my argument has nothing to do with Obi handing the school back to the church, just to debunk what appears to be untruth

This man, how old are you sef and what's your highest education because I hate wasting time on children & nonentities.

First, Obi became governor in 2006 and was already in his second term in 2011. The return of schools was his first term project 2006 - 2010. It was done in batches depending on when contractors conclude the infrastructural upgrade.

WAEC, NECO, JAMB are examination bodies. We have other bodies/organisations (local, international & independent) that keep and report statistics of academic performances by sex, state, age, zone, LGA, Out of Schools etc. Examples NBS, Ministry of Education, UNDP, MDG, USAID, UKAID, Statisense etc

Various establishment rely on such data for their planning. For instance, JAMB uses such reports to classify states between 'educationally developed' vs 'educationally less developed' during admissions.

It is the same data that Ministry of Education uses to determine admission cut-off mark in Unity Schools
