That's commendable but the kinds of refurbished locomotive engines I see here look like they were treated of kwashiorkor. This is not the kinds of trains that cover Lagos to Ibadan. I hope it doesn't break down in the middle of the forest, thus exposing its passengers to Fulani kidnapers who predominantly live in the forest. On a serious note, the FG should extend it to Enugu, and possibly Onitsha, and see the crazy amount they will be making from that route. The rot in the system is so much that whatever progress made will not have an immediate impact. Decades of negligence and failure of constantly investing and reinvesting into the key component infrastructures—road, power, education, health, transportation—to match the constant expansion is why the rot in the system. What about corruption? Ineptitude? Ignorance? Whatever stride we make today will never be felt because of the rots which dwaf every little achievement.
