QatarEnergy boss Saad Sherida al-Kaabi has decided not to invest in Nigeria, despite a visit by President Ahmed Bola Tinubu aimed at reinvigorating his country's oil and gas sector.

The company headed by the gas-rich emirate's energy minister is put off by the business climate in the Niger Delta, where Western majors have been scaling down for a decade.

His visit was intended to attract investment from the emirate in Nigeria's oil and gas sector, which is in dire straits due to a lack of funds. But after much consultation, Saad Sherida al-Kaabi, the CEO of QatarEnergy and the emirate's energy minister, is not in favour of his company investing in Nigeria.......

These are the consequences of getting the wrong leadership to steer the affairs of a nation. The Maesrk issue is opening the eyes of many potential investors. No sane person or country will commit itself to investment its business in a country with well known cr!minals at the helm of affairs.

No good country leadership spend its scarce resources looking or chasing for investors while it is destroying the existing ones. Provide the right leadership and conducive enabling environment and see investors pursuing you.

"What do you expect when businesses are busy flying out of Nigeria and the government is even killing investors dreams in the country? You want foreign investors to come in when the citizens who invest have their investments being destroyed? Dream on!"

The person you responded to is really a disturbed person. He seems to have psychiatric problems. He throws out contaminated foams from his mouth as he speaks. Please leave him. The present economy occasioned by the ineptitude of his god is really worsening his situation.

Your foolishness must be divine. How much was revenue accruing to Lagos when Tinubu was governor compare to what Anambra was receiving ?!

I understand your bigoted delusional will blame Tinubu for having innovative way to sore up income to undertake his desired ambition for Lagos while the Pandora clown was not even able to met up with what his predecessor generated.

No wonder the fools was unable to build a single school in 8 years.

Was the visit about Qatar energy?

Is it only energy potential Nigerian can tap from Qatar.

Abeg, the wailers should just try as much as possible to be thinking things through before posting it anywhere

They want to see where there investment would grow

During Obj's tenure, foreign investment full every where because the economic environment was good.

Na them dey rush us that time

Fix ur country.

Improve the the Ease of doing business esp for small and medium scale business

Reduce excess taxation

Provide cheap energy and power

Tackle insecurity

Enough of all this negativity. It's in the interest of every citizen to wish their country well and not be perpetually digging up negative news. The other pro-govt side too are no better, all they do is dish up propaganda and defend everything no matter what. No objectivity or balance from either side. You both should go and settle yourselves and let others focus on the true progress of this country.

So?
Better to try than not try at all. If you are in business development, do you quit because one prospect turns you down?

Same Tinubu was able to woo chinese investors to Nigeria to build the Lekki free trade zone.

He is not even up to 1 year in his tenure yet.
