NOT AT ALL

Tega has just recovered from a near career ending ACL rupture and rebuild. He may never get back to his former level. That's very doubtful.
So you know ACL is a near career ending injury but you belittled it when Samson Tijani was the one involved

Why are you baiting our good Komekn?
He very well understand what I'm trying to say but man would rather feign ignorance since a naija born player is involved.

I gave Pep and Arteta as examples of coaches who once played with false 9 but are now moving for traditional 9. Which means Liverpool might be doing same going by their transfer rumour involving Osimhen.

He will soon come back and tell you Tijani has a stronger body compared to Tega.

You talking balderdash and Codswallop with no iota of substance. Your making a comparison between Tega and Tijani that's utter nonsense.

Must everything be seen in the darkness πŸŒ‘ of your own prejudice and bias.

Before Tega had his ACL tear on the last game of last the season in June he was already a confirmed outstanding top player.

In 2019/20 at age 20 he was the πŸ” goal scorer for Chelsea with 15 goals in the EPL.

He had been playing in the Championship/ EPL Since 16 he was a top goal scorer in the Championship as a teenager for Aston villa and Bristol city. His CV is exhaustive with outstanding quality. That was all priorto his injury over 7/8 month's ago.

Tijani gained notoriety before kicking a ball when it was discovered he had a godfather in the NFF and was signed to his agent and all the contention that followed.

He has been in Europe for four years without anything of substance playing in the lowly Austrian league. He got tibia / fibula fracture injury in July 2022. He has played two seasons since then after recovering completely.

I did ask what he had done before the injury and what is he doing after but nothing of substance offered. This all came about when somebody called him and excellent top level midfielder in Europe I retorted if he was he would not be in the Austrian Bundesliga.

It seems from the Wolfsburg official site he never had a ACL but fractured tibia and other related. And you are comparing two different things.

Where is Arteta looking for a traditional number 9 please. ❓

Haaland is an enigma and is not a good example with regards to team strategy change.

At the top of that list is Omeruo would you by comparison call him a Star ⭐.
they are 22 players on the list and I believe they all went on to play for their national team. So they are all stars from that very u-17 tournament

What league is Rizespor and if he is any good give him time he will be in a top πŸ” team next season. You used the word GREAT.
What league is Chippa United? Yet Nwabali was outstanding at the Afcon. We need to move away from this obsession with big club players. Any player that is on form in any top division club should be called up.

Playing a 4-4-2 is the best option
With Iwobi in the RM
So he can help the midfield
And Bassey at LB
Because Sanusi and Collins nor be am

I will say

Nwabali

Aina Ekong Ajayi Bassey
Iwobi Onyeka Onyedika Lookman
Boniface Osimhen

Ndidi for Onyeka
Yusuf for Onyedika

Good line up, however, I would rather play this as 4-3-3! Iwobi AM with Boni and Lookman supporting Osi!

I'm so happy for Forrest. They are the winner today. 3 points cushion with Luton. It will take a lot of bottling for them not to get a draw in the remaining games.

Amunike don turn to another Nwakali. There will be no end to the crusty arguments about how differently things would have been under Amunike whenever Finidi loses a match.

Amunike and then Nwakali - that's no easy humdrum burden to bear. I wish you guys luck

How is this a success at Tanzania for God's sake! El Makkasa knew they've made terrible mistake after just 3 matches, hence FIRED him. LOL!
Easy now Bro before it looks like you hate Amunike.

That's why I find these sort of argument abhorrent cos it pits two individuals against each other such that if one is not careful, it would seem like you hate Amunike because you'd always be pressed to defend Finidi against those who feel Amunike ought to have been appointed.

Grass is greener on the other side. I have no dog in the fight. If Amunike had been appointed I'd have supported him. Finidi got it. I support him until he underperforms. No be to dey cry and burden ourselves about the non appointment of Amunike.

Like wetin. They said Finidi doesn't get UEFA Pro, we dropped Link, they said na Lie. Where is the Link that proved Amuneke gets Pro and Masters?!

They said Amuneke is drenched in the pool of tiki-taka, same as Finidi cos he was made in Ajax. As a player, Finidi is far more successful than Amuneke. He is a UCL Winner and also won other Trophies that Amuneke didn't even smell as a Player.

As a youth Coach, he managed a spanish U19 Club [not even U17] for 5 years. Guess what?! Spain is home of tiki-taka. As a Men Coach he has won a League, as in a League for God's sake!

He is technically a foreigner too, coz he is also a spanish. LOL!
This godforsaken rotten style of football should never settle upon our shores. If Amunike would bring tiki taka, I'd oppose him stoutly but I know he would not have played that deadpan football called tiki taka. Those who say he would have played tiki taka are deluded and are giving an exaggerated significance to Amunike's unremarkable stint at Barca. Mentioning Barca is just another attempt to force feed us the tasteless brand of football called tiki taka.

May tiki taka perish!

Two things costed amuneke d job from what I learnt during space conversation

1) forceful pr(wc amunike was unaware; ppu really wanted amunike to take over but unfortunately,d same ppu ousted him out of d job ..I would liken amunike fans like d obidients (Dey can be very toxic at times).during d space ,Collin said top nff officials became scared dt person wey we neva give d job don Dey pressure us,what if he finally lands d job, what will happen

2) continuity and time frame of d next crucial World Cup qualifier

No coach, whether foreign or local or even the best world classs coach will be able to impact his football knowledge on how he wants his team to play within 3 -4(max) training sessions b4 d SA GAME.coupled with the precarious situation we re,

Hence d gamble on finidi to continue as d head coach since he has been with the team for over twenty months now.we can’t deny d fact dt he knows the team more Dan any of d candidates who applied (dts obvious anyway).

Not dt finidi is better Dan amuneke or oda candidates who applied

My verdict..

We av no choice now Dan to support finidi to succeed as the head coach. it will b disastrous to miss the World Cup back to back .
Absolutely. If we don't qualify so be it. They will always be another WC.

As if Amunike has not been humble and worked as assistant in U17 with Manu Garba. Has he not worked as an assistant in the Super Eagles.

Look for a better point. Humility is not the criteria to select the best coach to move the Super Eagles forward.
🀣🀣🀣
Assistant coach of U17 = assistant coach of Super Eagles. What a stretch

what's the use of gathering experience if they always sack you. The quality of the experience matters. Amunike had coached top clubs in there respective leagues, what was the outcome? At least finidi is a league winner as a coach while also being an assistant to jpes. What has amunike achieved in his coaching career that betters finidi's own. Don't mention u17 here ooo

I am okay with Supporting Finidi. He is Sharks FC old boy. I lived in the same compound with the man that discovered Finidi. I am also a huge fan of Van Gaal's Ajax. So being a Monday Sinclair and Van Gaal's boy, I naturally have an affinity for Finidi.

I just don't like the lies people are throwing trying to paint Finidi as better qualified. There is no ramification for that. He was selected over those better qualified than him that is all.

Is it to support him, we will. However, it does not bend the truth.
None of these things matters in picking a coach. All these na Guardiola assistant or whoever assistant is wooly talk. Perform. Simple.

The way they brandish this fifa technical committee as a magic wand ehn, as in once you are a part of the committee you carry a halo of wisdom on your head. Yes the committee is composed of people knowledgeable in the game. But don't forget that Oliseh had worked with the committee before he coached SE.

Point is that it guarantees nothing as far as coaching success is concerned
